Just spent over an hour clearing the car and drive as we were expecting OH to be in school tomorrow. 5ish minutes in I got his phone in case he got a call, turns out he got a text before I got the phone, I didn't check and he is off! Oh well, at least we aren't trapped tomorrow. Plan is shopping first thing, back to Edinburgh to finish Christmas shopping while we are both off then out to a friends for a leaving do.

    Hi everyone

Not managed to remove much from the list but I was out Mon & Tues (cadets) zonked in front of the tv last night and caught up on the washing & ironing tonight.

I was going out for a meal after work tomorrow but we have postponed, a small part is disappointed but a larger part is relieved, I was awake the other night at 2am worrying about money so this is a blessing for me.

I do have my work bash on Sat but that is already paid for (woohoo!) so apart from a bit of drinking money I am all set for that. I know its wierd worrying about xmas functions but sometimes it feels politically correct to go .......... if anyone sees what I mean.

    Hope you are all well

  • Lamewolf - solstice cards! what a fab idea. I have looked into doing a small celebration for winter solstice (as you know I am very keen on learning what I can about this) and think I can manage some of it so am hoping that would be ok.

Dippy - you are wonderful, the world would be a better place with more people like you in it

    Listed 2 items on ebay
    Made phone calls
    Done another Amazon order
Just sorting some emails now with a glass of my favourite fizz which is on offer at Mr M.

Got a great bargain in M&S today for DS1 - lambswool jumper £10 special purchase, usually £29.99, they were limiting them to 1 per customer. Got the last one in small, lovely chestnut colour which really suits him and he's wearing it already as it is much warmer than his others.

All 3 high schools closed tomorrow.. so.. I don't care whether it is open or not the 3 littlies are stayin home and I promised we will put up the tree.. I asked KH if he wants them any earlier so they are not going out in the dark but apparently he doesn't so I shall entertain them with a tree and a few boxes of baubles! They built snow things earlier then made tree ornaments and then shrieked and behaved abominable so were banished to bed. DD2 still refusing to go to KH's and the boys whinged a lot about it but didn't actually say can we not go and I feel if I ask them if they want to stay here then it may be constured as me leading them in some way.. I want it to be their decision.. I also want them to go so I can have some peace!!!!!!!

Online christmas shopping for me.. I'm finishing the children tomorrow hopefully!

I'll go look for my list.

    I have empty wash baskets!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorted all the hospital/clinic/dentist/every-other-thing appointments so am looking vaguely organised.
Freja fed and changed and fed and changed and fed and pooped and put in her jammies and fed again.. she is now in her cot drooling.

DD1 been shopping with DIL (so much easier to type than DS1's gf) and sprog and has no doubt spent up the points I saved on my boots card lol.. She asked if she could have some money for presents then said it seems inappropriate to ask for money to buy me a present.. I suggested she ask KH for it.. and said I'd transfer some over tomorrow :p

I need to get my sewing machine out and do curtains for DD2's room.. she has a blind but said it is cold in there.. and the boys curtains need lining.

Best go knit some more blanket for Moomins pram..

    Evening all

PC set up in it's new home and computer desk tidied, but no internet yet. Tea made and eaten and DS2 in bed. I was going to clear the DR table, but got sidetracked by the little drawers and spaces in the bureau (also in the DR) - half-way through sorting these.

I'm feeling a bit grotty now - possibly beginnings of a sore throat - and could do with a bath before bedtime. Will just finish the bureau quickly and head upstairs before I fall asleep on the sofa. Pleased with the progress I've made today. DH helped a bit, too, and DS1 got rid of a few things which were in the way, but he has lots more to do tomorrow.

    Good night! x

Managed to fall asleep this afternoon....very rare that happens but needed it obviously! Made mousakka for dinner with lots extra to freeze plus extra potatoes that i made it to mash to freeze and extra cheese sauce to freeze so don't feel like total waste of afternoon plus mopped all through downstairs and cleaned mirrors. Think i'm on track for some STARS!!!!! Will properly update tomorrow. Night all.

P.S Hope you are ok GREENBEE xx
