No more snow here thank goodness just still have icey roads, we're suppose to get snow later. I don't wanna see anymore until christmas eve. That is the only time it should snow. :rotfl:
Me and kids watched a movie together last night ( a christmas carol) which was good. Hubby went to bed early again. I'm so annoyed with hubby today no help at all, not even with his own stuff. I'm actually hopping mad and sick of having to do it all.
Right i'll stop my moaning and get the fire lit.
Polly so sorry to hear about your dog, big hugs.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
I'd not lie to her either.. Maybe he is waiting to hear back from gf if she is willing to do that? Could you and DD pick him up from hers and she collect him? Could DD ring him?
To be honest I think he might have told his gf that I am not allowing him to see her. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. She is an alcoholic too but sober.
He may be telling the truth about lack of money which could be why he isn't drinking!
They have both been seen in the next town (10 miles away), drinking coffee in a cafe! Surely if he has money to get there and buy coffee he could make contact with his daughter? I mean how much does it cost to call a housephone from a phonebox?
She will see sense about seeing him eventually.. they always do.
I know. Will just bide my time0 -

Morning all..
Polly - Big Hugs babes xx
It is horrendous here this morning had a couple of inches last night and it is still snowing.. just sat here giggling at my local radio DJ reading out 100+ school/nursery closures. We don't get gritted so the road outside if pretty much one minute brown piled snow from the odd tractor and then pure white from the snow. All over the county there are vehicles stuck etc.. don't think I will be going to my support group tonight which I really need so am feeling very sulky about.
One my dad's lorries yesterday slid straight off the road so they didn't come, apparently they are coming today but tbh I can't see it meself. The roads here are a lot worse now.
Ok Listy time.. something to keep me warm as the fire/heating and big jumper are not cutting it yet
Extras
Litter Tray - clean, refill [/STRIKE]and start hunting out a new covered one as this is looking worn now
Find homes for all the clutter on my table so I can use it for study without knocking things off and put on a nice festive center-piece

Morning all
I'm celebrating the snow day (just got back in from work - school closed) by not lurking and having the time to collect DS2 from school.
Have got house to myself, too! :j
First I'm going to warm up with cuppa, 2nd breakfast and book in bed, until the house is a bit warmer. Only giving myself until 10.30, though. Then:
finish laundry
empty DW
have a bath
do some marking
prep chicken/ham pie for tea (if I can find relevant bags in freezer)
post a letter (urgent)
clear another dot
Keep safe and warm, everyone. x0 -
gotno.. Those things may well be true.. but they could have been in the next town for a reason.. an appointment or visiting one of her sick relatives, or could be when he failed his assessment (does he not mean he passed it so was not eligible for IB? Surely if you fail it you get the dosh?..) .. unlikely I know but you don't have proof of anything. I know exactly how you feel about it because I feel the same.. today I got 2 texts from him.. 1 at 7:38 and one at 8:07 and I just replied to them.. I was sorely tempted to not reply until 2:30 like he does with me but that takes me to his low level which i have too much self respect to do. Is it possible for her to ring him? Do you get any free mobile calls with your phone package? It might be worth getting a cheap PAYG and having a SIM which gives free mobile calls/texts it can cost just a few pence a week then. DD2's gets a £20 topup every 2-3 months and she gets internet, free texts and loads of call time.. it may be a compromise.
I think you have to show you have done all within your power to maintain contact and what he chooses to do with that is his choice.. I have a stack of letters stating the little ones want to go more often, the older ones don't want to go when the littlies do as they want time too.. and as he is ignoring that there is no more I can do.. but I can honestly say I have tried.. which is fine because he is already saying I won't let them go..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
