  • not much yet - xmas hamper. mini bottle of booze and a book

however YES I CAN make a living from comping.

Got a meeting next week to discuss me running a new comping website, twitter and facebook.

Got headhunted for the job - they found me through my website compingqueen.com

So I'll get to do my hobby all the time and get paid for it.

Wow, sounds pretty sweet, hope you do get the job.

Do you know if its for a company that runs competitions, or a company that lists them kind of like your site does now?

    Good luck with the job.

To answer the original question of whether you can earn a living from comping I have to say not from my own experiences.

In terms of prize value and hours spent entering competitions I've worked out I get about 60p of prizes per hour. In real terms it will be less than this as things like ticket wins have cost me a lot of money in terms of travel etc.

I spend ages on this site every day but it is definitely not going to make me any money. It's good to get the odd little treat or useful item every now and again though. It's just as well I enjoy entering really!

ginjim, I don't normally agree with what you say but that made me laugh out loud :rotfl::rotfl:those pics are shocking lol.....and Treacle I wouldn't have your home address on show for all the web to see, especially with all those wins in the house ;)

I haven't copied and pasted anything from here. Ty very much - If you bother to read my site - which you obviously haven't - you'll see that I direct people here all the time on my pages and to loquax - both free sites.

The only copy and paste is from a bit of the simply prizes free online list - which I clearly refer to in the first sentence on that page.

All my site does is point newbies to comping in the right directions.
Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!

Home address? oh in one of the piccys. I don't mind hate /love mail. lol.
My homes secure and to be honest not much worth nicking - but I will delete that photo.
Yep camera is awful - refuse to buy a new one - it's on my to win list. xx

  • I don't mind taking a bit of slack over my site -

It hasn't cost me anything and has bagged me a job.
(Which I won't be giving details of until I have a signed contract - don't want any other compers pinching it)

I don't mind peeps taking the micky out of my wins either - personally I think my list of wins so far this year since May is pretty good. Over £5000.
I have a happy little niece and nephew who get the toys and kiddy bits and I haven't had to buy any makeup or skincare at all this year - still going on my wins.

Every little win makes me very happy - and every win gets a good home.

I also get a lot of pleasure from the thankyou emails I get for helping newer compers.
