My overdraft has become a scary thing for a part of my life (best part of 3 years) - Its currently interest free but I know it won't be forever - Infact I only have a year to pay it off. I leave uni this year and that is scary enough in itself but the thought of not being able to find a job and not being able to survive terrifies me - even as a worse case scenario I can't even claim benefits as my OH earns too much - although not enough to support me too. Needless to say amongst doing my dissertation, final exams, job hunting - I need to save and make as much money as possible throughout the year - on top of this, although realistically only feasible if I find a job I want to start saving a bit of money towards a deposit for a house. Ive figured though if I can get a job anywhere even if its horribly low paid Im looking at at least 12k a year - Realistically I think saving a fair bit out of that is do-able as Ive been accustomed to living off £3800 for the last 3 years....And I know everyone on MSE will be really helpful to!

Hello everyone, I am new here. Really enjoying this post and feeling inspired. I know I'm a bit late in December but can I join in too? Have spent the morning on the phone to the CCCS trying to sort out my £25k debt and making an extra £10 per day seems like a good way to start!0

£45 from one MS company, and another £15 from another today. £135 from Amazon sales and the total is well and truely smashed. The truely amazing thing though is there mgiht be money in the bank come payday (Tuesday) which will go to paying off the debt. This is amazing as we were looking at being about £80 short for the month with no spends at all (which obviously there have been with it being christmas, 2 work parties, buying cards and wrapping paper, posting sold items etc). Really pleased things seem to have worked out okay this month.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
A great money making / saving day for me,
Ive been helping my brother, he runs a house clearance business, i got paid £50, even better than that is, in the clearance was a brand new single divan bed, which he let me have for £20 for one of my daughters, ive just had a look online and they retail for £295.
