Yes Aldi, tho' in Spain the company is owned by the Brother of the UK Aldi's.

You must be unlucky Bri, my local Lidl's is far cleaner and nicer than the scruffy Tesco across the road.

Yup, took a faulty keyboard set back after 2 years, got full refund, I always staple the receipt to the box and keep the boxes in the loft.;)

Good man:T:T:T, purpose of post was to state that Aldi and Lidi have a budget reputation here, "where the poor people shop"???? without offence, But, as stated, on the continent as I've experienced it really is quite different
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

That may be your opinion, ( no offense ) but I shop where I get the very best value:money:, that is at Lidl or Aldi, I don't care if anybody else may think that I am poor, I know different.. ;)

I don't see many obviously " poor " people in my local Aldi or Lidl's, they all look quite affluent to me..

Now my local Tesco, that is a different ball game altogether.;)

    Never judge a book by it's cover.:D

No can't go with that one, check the car park, could'nt find a valid tax disc the last time I looked in Lidl, UK that is.
Tesco attracts differrent value Scr))es, the pretentious ones,

Flak jacket donned and heading for cover

Mums, the susceptible/gullibe one don't go to Iceland, they go to TTTTTTTTTT.

I guess I'm one of the common people then. I don't care what it says on the label, so long as it's the best value for money. If that's aldi or lidl, that's good, as it's not going to be dear either.

Agreed, buy a packet of (160) Tetley Tea Bags in Aldi for £2.19, or buy the exact same item in Sainsburys for £3.00... They are on Special Offer as well at that, they are normally £3.89.

    Not too difficult.

We seem to have drifted off topic.. ;)

Probably not, anti-freeze might go quite nicely with (some people's) tea :rotfl:

  • My long term memory recall has just lurched into overdrive, didn't the Austrians get done some years ago for using antifreee in the manufacture of white wine ?
In that case, I've probably drunk some so I'll try a drop or two in my tea.
