For PC World and Currys the price is now £259.99. I paid £319.99
**Sorry instore price is £279.99 and reserve and collect is £259.99 for Currys
PC World is in store £299.99 and online (can be reserved for in store pick up) is same as Currys £259.99
what im wondering is if they honour online reserved prices rather than instore0 -
I have no idea if they will Custardy but I guess it is worth a try!
Will try tomorrow anyway and see what happens! I will update this thread with the results..Many thanks for all your replies!0 -
DSR are in force when you order online because you don't actually get to see the product before purchase. Since you went to pick it up from a store....0

Many thanks for your reply. The only problem is I am actually using the computer so cannot really return it anyways. My own computer had crashed and I needed one to use straight away..Lol
I intend going round to the store this morning and will see what they say. I can but ask!:)0 -
If you had ordered it and taken delivery, you would have been in a totally different position. In fact I might have suggested that you use your new position to fix your old machine, as you now have the possibilty to communicate and create the discs that you may need to repair your old machine..and then return the new machine under DSR as unsuitable.
But you are not likely to be able to do this as you picked it up from a store. Who knows...you might be able to blag it as being not suitable for what you needed.
Of course this is just hypothetical as I would not suggest something quite so unethical.0 -

I don't think reserve & collect comes under it. You have the chance to inspect the goods when you pick them up. it is only reserve not order. You don't have to follow through and pay for it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Yes I did pick up and pay at the store for it. I then set it up at home and have been using it since so I don't think I can use DSR. Will soon know I will be at the store as soon as they open...lol0

You didn't buy it online, You simply reserved it-payment was made in-store, and that was when you contracted with them.
You just have to accept that prices go up and down all the time, and that this time you missed out.
The price could just as well have gone up the next day.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

And would the OP be offering to send along the extra money so that Currys didn't lose out?
Some you win, some you lose.Move along, nothing to see.0
