Price Drop with 7 days For PC TOWER

Hi

If this is not the right place to ask this question please can it be moved!!

I bought a PC Tower COMPAQ SG3-210uk last Thurs 24/11/10 from Currys. The web price was £319.99. Tonight it is on their website for £259.99. This is the web price and I did reserve online and pick up in store.

I intend going there tomorrow as it is within 7 days since I bought it and it is available in PC World at the same price online for £259.99.

Do you think their price promise will cover me to get back the difference? Any ideas please. Many thanks

Not a hope in hell unless they say "find a lower price within 7 days" . Price promises are usually at the time and dependent on said lower priced retailer having stock.

Yes have checked their price promise online and am now printint it out!!
Will they class PC World as a differnt shop or are they classed as part of the same company?? Yes it is in stock at PC World at the moment!

We won't be beaten on price!

In the unlikely event that you find a cheaper price, for the same product and offer, We’ll not only match the price but also beat it by 10% of the difference. Our price promise even applies up to 7 days after purchase.

  • If they dont accept the price promise because its PC World, cant you just box it up and return it for a refund? And then just buy it again

  • They dont have to refund you no shop does unless stated so, may be worth a try but you biggest mistake was ever using Currys or clueless PCworld

Because it was reserved online and picked up in store does that give the online protection of having so many days to decide? Not very techie unfortunately and went to the nearest shop to buy.

**Just checked online and it could have been returned if it was unopened or unused so that is not an option as I am using it.
  • Since you ordered the PC online you will have to inform them online that you want a refund and follow their returns procedure.

Just turning up at the Currys store asking for a refund will fail.

I only reserved online and picked it up and paid in store. It was Currys I bought it from. Currys and PC World are now both advertising the same comp for £60 less than I paid only last Thursday!

    I am not a very happy bunny......lol

For PC World and Currys the price is now £259.99. I paid £319.99

**Sorry instore price is £279.99 and reserve and collect is £259.99 for Currys

PC World is in store £299.99 and online (can be reserved for in store pick up) is same as Currys £259.99
