Cheery - ever thought about a career as travel journalist? That was truly entertaining piece of writing. Good luck for the last leg of your journey. :T

Better class than usual though :)

Here's hoping that Daffs is now on a ferry and sailing serenely towards Pippi-land!

  • Hello all
Cheery should have had a film crew with her for a new series of ' great journeys of tghe 21st century'. Hope you and Mr Daffs get there soon and that the Pippi household manage their journeys too.
It was -17 here the night before last and not much better last night.Still no buses since friday. I managed a perilous journey to the nearest shops on Monday in a taxi that could have entered 'dancing on ice'. Now stocked up on the things that I needed, mainly bread and milk.
At the moment I'm here on my own on Xmas day. Although my parents live a relatively short distance away without a thaw (not expected until after Xmas) they can't get out of their road and I can't get there!
Not to worry. We can ring each other and as I've said before I'm quite content on my own , well , alone with the mad hound anyway.
I've fought my way around to the back garden with the dog and fed the birds. Off to make some yoghurt cake soon.
    Keep well and warm!

I wonder how long that ferry takes? And then public transport to near Pippi, and then a tractor or something (or a walk!!!) to the house ..... if they're in yet, I bet they're warming up.

But yes, I wish I knew!
