Ugh, I struggle enough with the lack of daylight in the North East at the moment, let alone any further north! I just don't know how you Scots manage it!
The trouble with "normal working hours" is it doesn't allow much time to get outside during the brief winter daylight time... and then companies wonder why everyone gets ill... I need a job which involves being outside I think!:rotfl:“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

thanks EH, i'm back on the whole range of vitamins which i used to take religously and was never ill. The cold is very slowly clearing, just not quick enough for me.0

One of the things I used to hate about working at my old job KC was that in the winter I never saw the flat in daylight during the week - it really drags you down after a while.
LT You might try the Boots effervescent energy tablet things - they're like berocca and similar only far cheaper! (They were giving them away as a freebie with three purchases from the vitamin & supplement range a while back) They are effective, but do turn your wee dayglo yellow so be warned! :rotfl:
Its about that much at the moment
Hello!
Back from parents night = I had to brush my hair  to look a bit parentish and less sea monster ish

The folk up here when I live think that they aren't scottish anyway (it belonged to Norway for a very long time until it got sold for some kind of a dodgy deal)
Mainland means this mainland and not UK mainland
scotland is just scotland
And, anyway here its all just called
'sooth'
ps just heard my neighbour in my car - he asked for a borrow of it by text - easy enough - keys are in it - then when I went out and the car wasn't there - I didn't think OMG I've been robbed - just wondered where I'd left my car - til I remembered - lol!
Thought you'd find that amusing!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I love that whole "mainland" thing - just been looking at it again on google maps, you and the Shetlands both have it.
Life sounds busy, Pippi - you doing good?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Only just read the car thing! I have a story from the opposite end of the spectrum - me and the boyfriend parked the car in Soho one day - and forgot where. We had to go home on the train, but even so, it wasn't stolen - we found it 3 days later2023: the year I get to buy a car0

sounds idylic Pippi, even though i know it's not all plain sailing. One day i'll see it in it's summer glory.
watching an interesting program about Pompei at the moment, love the medical advice of the time. Don't go to the baths when you have an open wound you're likely to get gangrene!
makes me think again about wanting to go to a sauna/ spa0 -

Existing on sellotape, not much sleep - a bit harranged by conflicting supervisor comments (one great, one well done but heres a few tweaks, one well, you want to consider abcdefghijklm etc and be more accurate, one NO REPLY) - and trying to write up another section without losing my bottle - loving the exam time (3 hours complete silence and concentration for me no distractions, well so far anyway)
I actually slept in today - woke at 8.17 - only because of a text (thank you Marru!!!) was in work by 8.49 - dunno how (exam early but made it on time)
Yeah the mainland thing is very cute isn't it - wonderful when the Norweign royalty come here - everyone goes a bit bonkers
I hope you're good - I miss you all.EssexHebridean wrote: »LOL @ the car thing. I would so like to live somewhere where life is that simple!
Not knowing where you've left your car is probably a bit more simple I guess
My first thought was OMG I've left it in a 'safe place' I'll never be able to bloody well find it. KC I'm laughing so hard now!x
I might struggle to do a photo this week - no light when I'm actually not doing something - but I'll have a go - I've an idea - but it does involve daylight - although at a push I might be able to *try* something with artificial light maybe?
btw love the challenge - I'm really having to think.
But I do need a different lens - I need a general purpose and obviously a macro - think I'll try ebay for the first one soon.
And breathe!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
