Its been dragging on the way mine did, LT, hope you can shift it soon, its really not the best timing, is it...

Pippi, another one here hoping you didn't work long past midnight, its difficult to *think* properly at that time of night when you've been going all day. And not too much sideways weather coming at you! But it sounds like you're invigilating today, good luck.

dentist was filling without anaesthetic - pah! (then a broken washing machine causing lake *inside* house - also pah!)

Not having the best of days :o

And still sitting in front of silly PhD with nothing much to show for the whole day :o Might have to set the timer and give it a concerted effort though. Meant to be trotting out to see Mr daffs play later (they're not on til 10.30) - but since I have to walk there and won't be able to get a lift back (I'll have to get the bus) I'm starting to think I'd rather stay in! :o

 at working til 3am though  Hope you get a weekend of rest after that!

hi all just been catching up.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR to first direct. how dare they say it's a typo?????? i'm so glad you are complaining or i would have to do it for you. it's disgusting they can even think of doing it. right rant over cause i don't want to start you off again.

i had to laugh about the camera shy pheasants. we had pheasant for dinner the other night. my sister has a friend who goes shooting and always complains that she ends up with too many pheasants so my sister joking says "i'll take a few off your hands". a week later sis gets a phone call in work "do you still want those pheasants?? cause i've left some hanging on the gatehouse (security) door" quick phone call to my parents "do you know how to pluck and prepare a pheasant?" and hey presto pheasant for tea a week later. DD was fantastic. she had no issues with the dead birds or plucking them or eating them. she was fab.

LT hope you are feeling better

Glad you are getting lots of work done Pippi and being paid for it. excellent

well done to DD and go you guys for a hm pheasant for tea :)

I've a book - think its the good housekeeping encyclopedia - all that kind of stuff in there - love it!

KC - hello - did work on a bit - but managed to get a section done which needed ot be in during the morning when I was invigilating

Marru - if you're lurking - I've been doing ACCA exam all week :D

the evil credit people will get it in the neck I give you my word!

  • *waves* Hope you don't get too wet with the thaw - better than ice at least. It's been quite warm here today.

Wish I could send you some tatties - Mr T's were flogging off 1kg bags of rather posh (Finest, no less!) new potatoes for 30p last night so I bought two! Got a punnet of plums as well so there is a crumble beckoning I think! Starting to get a good clear idea now of when the best reductions are - hopefully the shops will stick to that plan now. :)

Oh !!!!!! I've left my wellies at work - !!!!! I was about to say won't matter as I've normally got me wellies on but they are at work :eek::eek: I might not see them til monday - eek I'll have to go in and get them tomorrow.

Now I do need tatties - but having just posted a 1.5kg flour (cost £6 !)- I'm thinking posting tatties not a good idea!!

Crumble I don't mind now and again

I may venture out later on - but will see how I feel - bad weather - more bargains :)

I like hte new challenge - I'm sure I congratulated you on your fine purchases last night - :) maybe not?

Cheery - (()) poor you - I'd stay in - but thats me - I'm off to work on more of my own chapter - late work last night (after midnight) was a section from the 'extra' consultant type work which needed a quick rejig - they pay very well - I can hardly say no if they need something quick - alas - the work is already invoiced with a contingency for rewriting if needed

    Win some lose some eh?
