speaking of which more plants sold (3) - only house plants the noo @1.50+postage - but it's a peedie start. Book sold on amazon - post office on Monday I think eh?
Will list more seeds on mon. Cheque for extra work - contract or casual hours too. 2 doz eggs sold, money to collect for another 3 doz and another dozen or so to deliver early in the week.
All a peedie start eh, slow and steady wins the race doesn't it. Baby steps - I'm not showing off here honest just documenting it to keep a track of it all.
Show off all you like, I think you are doing a fab job with your patchwork living :T:T:T:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

Morning all,
Cheery thanks for your thoughts. It is difficult - no wonder money is allegedly the chief cause of discord among couples. We each pay £500 a month into a joint account which covers all regular bills (elec, gas etc - and leaves some over which we can save for holidays and things) but not groceries, DIY stuff etc (which we each buy and then add up and divide at the end of the month) and petrol/ diesel and car expenses generally (we each buy our own). The £500 is actually more than necessary and could be reduced but we chose it because we opened one of those accounts that gives you a bonus if you pay in £1000/month!
OH has offered to cover my share for a time but that seems like a lot - and anyway it's only been a few months so far, I'm hoping business will impove and then we'll be back to a more balanced situation. Each month is different though, it's taking time to get used to, I think after a few more months I'll get a better idea of how things will pan out!
KK I hope Mr A likes the bottom of the fridge risotto! We will be having something remarkably similar later :rotfl:
Pippi it isn't showing off at all, glad the patches are coming together (mouse bites remember! I keep thinking about that while working on our house!)
Have a good day all, don't get washed or blown away (very wet doon sooth today)0 -

That sounds very productive
What have I done?!? Err, worked, had lunch with DD at friends' house, whilst all the kids played and watched DVDs and have successfully avoided doing housework all day
Actually, thanks to you Pip, I've remembered to reactivate my listings on Amazon and something has sold already!!
Well, we didn't get to see MrA, which I was sad about for about 2 minutes until he suggested that he come and cook us lunch tomorrow, what a sweetiepie, so hopefully it will happen and he will stay over for a while afterwards. Keep everything crossed please, Saturday afternoon feels like such a long time ago, lol and we have only spoken/texted/emailed about a gazillion times today, that's surely not enough!!0 -
KK you remind me of when i met my OH, only for me he lived 100 miles away so we only saw each other on average one weekend a fortnight, i was horrible not to see him, but we ended up talking each night for a hour at least and think that's helped make us closer.0
