Hi all, grr, 4am and I can't s*dding sleep :( Sounds like everyone has been very industrious indeed this weekend, wow to all the gardening and prettifying of houses. I've been far less industrious (no surprise there then!!). I'm having an even more fab weekend than I anticipated, the dinner party that I've been dreading all week was great, fabulous company, his friends were so welcoming, yummy food, great music, tiny sips of good wine, MrA holding my hand *swoon* :):)

I am missing DD but not too much as I know she's having a whale of a time at grandparents, and I'm glad that I'm able to spend more time with MrA without feeling like a bad muvva!

Kittikins! Omigod, thats a dreadful time for you to be posting! I've been bad at *getting* to bed these last few days, but thats really horrendous - tho sounds like the social events are kicking up a storm in your household :):):) maybe thats why you can't sleep? The adrenaline of even good events can really interrupt our sleep patterns.

Another hurray for Mr Stripes :) and lol at the icing - sounds like its *trying* to work hard at being proper icing, but not quite getting there, LT, but I bet it tasted great anyway :)

lol at the icing trying to be icing. I'm not the best fan of butter icing as i don't like butters/marg etc. the cake is very yummy though.

KK i've been nowhere near industrious enough, still got loads to do today, this place still is a dusty tip.

    Hello you busy peeps,

my fruity trees are now safely in their new homes & in spite of lashing rain & howling wind they're standing firm - glad I did persevere with bashing the stakes in.

I'm just waiting to start on the plum jam & perry now :D. I was a bit upset when allotmenteers said that the trees probably wouldnt fruit for 2 years :(. I'll be having a word with them about that, I'm not known for my patience.

Fellow renter here too, cant see me ever owning either as I'm fairly certain I'll never earn enough to get a mortgage to cover the silly prices aroundhere :rotfl:. Nor would I want to, too much responsibility.

It's a small place but big enough for the 2 of us & we do have a lovely garden that backs on to pasture land so all we can see are fields, trees & sheep with a few cows & houses in the distance on the other side of the valley :). It nourishes my soul & keeps me sane just to look out of the kitchen window.

Hoping weather improves so I can get out & start digging again soon. Hope everyone is having a lovely chilled sunday.
  • Chaos here - morningish all

Working a music room for mr stripes - lugged both freezers out of his office to the large and silly utility room (k2).

Weather still rank and evil - maybe a walk t happy valley later a little woodland :)

Done lots brunchy things with us all around table which doesn't happen much - :)

    Hope you're all grand

Lula loving the sound of the garden :) excellent!!

I'm pottering with paper trying to decide where to fence the evil (not really) chickens in. When one walked past peedie straight by and into the house - and didn't move when I asked her what on earth she was upto - I think they need their own large but *secure* patch.

    Cheeky monkey!!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:
