Personally I'd fence them in. They'll wreck your garden.

morning all
scone anyone, pancake?
2 loads through washing machine
Got fed up and started cooking
Trying to motivate myself to put more stuff on ebay.
Trying and not succeeding
LT meant to say - I wish I could fence the chookywookies in - but the fence is OK for cattle (electric) but not really chicken proof - the garden edge fence is - which they walk around and then come in the other wayTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

The correct answer should be thesis
The real answer I'm afraid might be different
I've meal planning to do
washing to sort out
a bit of decluttering
more ebaying
looked at all the house plants which are either looking a bit forlorn or needing chopped up and thinking - OK cuttings - this thought I had in the bath looking at my sad piggy back plant wiht numerous babbies and the spider plants in the kitchen.
Nerines drying to send some to Trog - alot of babbies in there too
Otherwise I might take a trip to stromness but its really horrid out there - I dont think I even want to go to the car!!!!
I'm turning into a light weight:rotfl:
Its not a rocks in your pockets kind of day here today - more like bricks and tether the children.
I fear the chickens might be blown to the cairngorms - which is fine as OH can collect them up when hes skiing today
What about you Dr Daffs???
Oh and a fun thing for you cheery about making a Bere bannock I did think of you when I read it and thought you could make them on your pancake maker??Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Lula that is great! I'm very happy to share in any planting - I can't go out there today - bah bah bah - I'll enjoy a bit of 'virtual gardening' instead! I wanted to put up a fence today and plant my raspberries - but no luck.
I wish you abundant fruitfulness!

Hi Pippi! Hi all! I can't quite *get* the layout you have, Pippi, so got nothing realistic to say on hens v garden - but I know as a matter of principle I'd want both - I'd want free range hens, but I'd also want to grow my own food and not have it eaten by the chickies. Very helpful, eh?
Bah to that level of wind, sounds serious - when you said about the kids, it did remind me of some windy days as a child when I was on a family trip - we were on the Mersey ferry, and I got blown along the landing stage past my dad - he grabbed hold of me, obviously, as I'm still hereYour DS skiing sounds fantastic!
I'm not doing anything in the garden at the mo - any energy I have right now has to go to getting my cheques and cash actually *into* my bank account, and washing the kitchen floor, which is really horrible. And I've just realised - I've swept it since I arrived here, obviously, but I can't actually remember cleaning it:o:o I'm a genuine !!!!!!
:D:D
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Um, don't tell cheery - I don't think we washed the floors before she came - and we've been here almost a year - they get a sweep and the occassional wipe with a cloth - but thats it.
Oh, maybe no one will come now!! Its not that bad honest - but I'm not a mop alot kind of girl. Quick flick with a cloth is all that is required generally.
KC garden will come in time - plenty time yet - and I'm going to draw my layout, out iyswim and think on about fencing - they are lovely - but I want a garden.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
