MacDonalds Hygiene!

Me, my partner and young brother (8) went to MacDonalds and bought 8 (yes we are greedy gits) cheese burgers to take home (which is about 20 odd miles away.) Upon taking out the horrible gherkin I found a finger nail in one of the burgers. I was nearly sick. I have sent a message to MacDonalds complaining about this but haven't recieved a reply yet. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? If so, what did you do and was it resolved?

Sure it wasn't a piece of dehydrated onion?
  • My nails are horribile, they are bitten right down and never get long.
This was like, the end of a nail, not the ENTIRE nail. And It definatly isn't a bit of onion. I am 100% sure about it. I have been going to MacDonalds since I was young and can't believe ths has happened. I'm sure if my brother had swallowed it could have done some damage like scrape the back of his throat or something?

I found a chicken beak in a chicken legend a few years ago and when I went to complain they just offered me another one. The girl behind the counter looked at me with an incredulous look on her face and said "it's not a beak, it's a bone" - like that made it any better. grrr.

There was no apology (or compensation!) just the offer of another beak filled legend...

how on earth would the end of a nail end up in the burger toppings? It's not like they spontaneously fall off?

You're guess is as good as mine. Maybe it's a new promotional 'game'...find the nail, get a free happy meal :rotfl:

I found a snail in a beef burger, when I went back the girl said, "That's fat," I said, "I know it's eaten half the beef burger."
