Snow traffic

The snow is working in our favour up here
It seems to be keeping lots of people off the road leaving it free for those happy to drive in this weather.
I drove home from work on Friday at 5.30 pm and had a clear run from Aberdeen all the way home. Normally the A90 is slow moving and sometimes at a standstill but we were able to travel at 60-70 on the dual carriageway (clear of snow) and even hit 50 mph on the single carriageway sections. In good weather it's nose to tail with traffic and you crawl at 20-30 mph at best. In good weather I avoid the A90 at all costs :cool:0 -

Don't forget to tell your insurance company and put the the fuse back before the MoT test.

Far too many idiots out there.
I work just off J30 and went onto the A48 to go and get some lunch. Just as the first few flakes hit my windscreen, someone in L1 slammed on the anchors as if a kid had just run out, causing the lorry tailgating them to swerve in front of me to avoid hitting them. The person who had just slammed on proceeded to drive at about 10mph, hunched over the steering wheel looking terrified. They wern't even elderly.
Took me an hour longer to get home than usual, thanks to the queues, normally takes me 30 minutes.
According to a co-worker, people were also panic buying bread, milk and petrol.
Saturday morning and the apocalypse hasn't happened. Sunday was fine too. I'm sure most of it will have melted by the morning.0
