    A pricing mistake is not necessarily a 'con'. I expect it would be very difficult to prove that Tesco were deliberately trying to get you to spend extra. It's more likely that they're just a bunch of numpties.

    sounds like sour grapes because you asked a question to which the answer was pretty glaringly obvious.

    when i were a lad, 29p would get you a cinema ticket, 2 turns on the merry go round, a bag of chips and a wh ore for the night....tho only in my mind.
    Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
    current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
    Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)

    new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,000

    But if you look at the bigger picture, if 10000 people took up on that offer, how much profit will tesco make? So, it is not just about the 29 p.
