It's Bloody Cold Here - Is Global Warming All Over?

Meanwhile though are there actually people(bar idealistic students, greenpeace fanatics, those with a vested interest and politicians) that still believe that CO2 causes Global warming? I'm amazed, most have cottoned on by now that its just a scam to tax you more through carbon credits and control your life to ever higher degrees.
Wheres the evidence? look at the weather report. oh I forgot global warming causes cold weather, global temperature disruption? dont make me laughHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Yes,...Linton. (but he may fall into one of the stated categories)0

Or use video conferencing, or possibly pick a venue which closest to the majority of delegates. That would muck up a nice little all expenses paid luxury break though.
A little impractical to get a few thousand people on a video conference.
The venues are usually picked to get the cheapest accommodation capable of hosting the numbers. This tends to mean somewhere nice (with lots of hotels), with good coummunications, out of season (so the hotels arent full of holiday makers).
As to being close to the majority of delegates - where would that be for a conference with a global attendance? In practice you tend to get a very few global events and a larger number of regional events.
However I guess that I am wasting my time. Facts are the last thing you are looking for.0 -

not sure which category that would be.
I remember vividely about 10 years ago when we were promised that the south of the uk should resemble the gobi desert by now. what do we have instead? look at the bbc weather. the earliest extended cold snap in 17 years, last year record cold temperatures across the globe. Of course the warmists have a new argument: global warming causes global cooling!! Theres absolutely no evidence for man made global warming, its a theory, one that is destroyed by simply looking out of your window. and yet they carry on Them that have looked into it to any degree can see the vacuous nature of the case and the specious arguments used, not to mention the political/corporate nature of the fear mongering.
Vested interests, billions invested.. we shall have global warming wether it happens or not and YOU will pay us for it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Hang on, global warming is here we will soon warm up

Why on earth would a few thousand delegates be required?0

Was that the government funded research dept at the Uni of East Anglia, that decided to ignore any data that contradicted their main theory?
The best examination of this one is by the science writer A.W. Montford, whose Bishop Hill blog has really dug into the whole Climategate saga - http://bishophill.squarespace.com/

Forget all that, I couldn't care less if it got a degree or so warmer or colder here. Why all the fuss?
More flooding in Europe as once in a century events become once in a decade events, shifts in rainfall patterns causing disruption to world food production with probable high food inflation, the UK may actually get a colder climate if the gulf stream is affected (it's not called "climate change" by scientists for nothing) and all the other negative imapcts predicted by the scientists.0 -
If true, which I doubt, it's only because our "green" initiatives have been so poor, volcanoes don't emit much CO2 and hadn't increased the level of atmospheric CO2 significantly prior to industrial times and don't emit much compared with man:Sorry to rain on the warmists parade but that volcano that exploded in iceland recently emitted more CO2 than has been 'saved' through all the green energy initiatives for the last 5 years.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/blog/2010/apr/21/iceland-volcano-climate-sceptics1st Global warming...then global climate change... now Global climate disruption. A 'science' utterly discredited. look out the window. wheres them med temperatures we were promised 10 years ago?
The sun's activity is low at the moment yet temps are still amongst the highest we've seen in thousands of years. I wonder why?0 -
There's almost never absolute proof in science outside of pure maths, scientists understand this.A known warming gas? its a theory. wheres your proof? there is no proof its a casual extrenuous causal link without proof. A theory increasingly discredited by completely normal world temperaturs.. just like now
It's easy to calculate how warm the planet should be without warming gases, just look at how warm the sun is, how reflective the earth is (the albedo) and you get a temperature about 30 degrees colder than we have today. "Greenhouse gases" are what keeps us warmer, CO2 is one of those gases. Increase it and temps go up. Even contrarian scientists don't dispute this.0
