You know what the icing on the cake is when these average price drops come out?

People on here trying to desperately refute said average price, by picking up on localised areas that don't match the average.

I do enjoy watching people scurry around to show us areas, trying to take the focus away from the average fall....which is what the land registry is all about....but come on. We all know it's an average, we all know prices in certain areas will defy gravity and prices in others only need the breeze to pick up for them to drop like a stone.

Oh come off it - i've seen time and time again the same individuals celebrating falls in the average house price index (in particular the -3.6% one) as if it makes a blind bit of difference to their individual situation.

If it makes not a blind bit of difference to individuals situations, why are you doing your utmost to try and refute the figures here? A) by giving us individual localised areas, and B) by asking if the asking price has chnged on an individual house?

It amuses me no end, to see people scurrying around, to highlight such figures....figures which MAKE UP the average figure were talking about.

Not quite yet, still saving my deposit, just glad to see things not go upwards to be honest. Of course any drop is welcomed as it reduces the needed deposit and of course total mortgage and therefore gives lower monthly payments for the next 25 years or so.

Yes not all prices have dropped 1% over the last month, but as a general trend from what I am seeing in house prices it does make sense locally.

You mean like when the bears post propertybee anecdotals of falling individual asking prices "round my way" when the sold price indices are rising..... And claim prices are still falling....

    That kind of desperation? :rotfl:
