Nice Suprise from Welcome Finance

In June/July of this year I posted on here that I got a PPI claim of just under £800 from Welcome Finance. Well they came back to me and said that they would look at my other 3 loans that I had over the years from Welcome Finance which were finished with and closed and Today they have written to me to say that they PPI was not suitable for my needs when I took these loans out and because of this I have an offer of over £3500 in compensation which I have gladly accepted off them.

Nice way to end the year and a lovely Christmas present if I get it before then.

  • Have taken a year to investigate my PPI claim. They finally offered me £2200 but said my account was in arrears so they would use £1200 to pay off the loan and pay the rest to me. I sent back the acceptance form 4 weeks ago but they have now come back and said my local branch have said the figure was wrong and they will use all of the compensation to pay off the loan - can they do this once I have accepted and signed the form?
