  • The tube hop from Charing Cross to Euston/Kings Cross is quite short.

    Thanks that's great :)
It's Euston/St Pancras because I've been attending UCL but had to drop out during the exams at the end of my second year due to illness. It'd be nice to live somewhere I could go back and finish my degree though as no one knows when/if I'm going to get better this isn't a main consideration when choosing where to live, just a 'it would be nice'

Why not just live in London then?

train prices are due to rise yet again in the January I believe and the train fares can be really toppy!

London can be a budget place to live ( certainly the free entertainment, history, libraries, museums etc- it all helps) and there is loads of bargain shopping.

I to with it, but I wouldn't really live anywhere else unless it was temporary! If youare not well there are some super hospitals here and lots to do if you are not up to going to uni
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

It's an option and will probably go in the middle of the preference list at least from a geographical point of view but it's not ideal because my OH would probably hate it - he finds London too big, and it's over 4 hours away from our family
  • Whatever you do, don't move to Gillingham or Chatham in Kent. Roughest places I've ever been to in my entire life. And the people are just truly dreadful... a lot of really deeply unpleasant characters there. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

See that's the kind of information I need - as well as which places are the loveliest :)

    But Rochester is nice!

All areas have their good and bad parts though.
