Don't know if you'll find your Irn Bru out there either.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I would take a nice long holiday somewhere the two of you can relax and unwind. I would not discuss what to do until we had been relaxed and happy for at least a week.0

Hey Paula I would like cabin crew hence Dubai was a good start but apparently there not keen on you bringing your hubby with you
But I think I would do anything to keep afloat I dont want to be bogged down obsessing about a career I've done that since I was 20 and now I am where I wanted to be but I've hit a roof the jobs from here on up are more stressful that what I am doing already, The wages are brill but I dont want money to be the be all and end all in my life anymore I am sick of worrying about debts mortagages etc
Heck I would do anything as long as I would be happy :rolleyes:Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0 -
My then bf (now ex lol) spent much of our 20's living and working abroad in Switzerland and the US, but it was much easier then cos all we had to do was create a social security number  having said that we had a fantastic time and managed to save quite a bit for a downpayment when we returned.
If I were you I would be very tempted, when/if kids come along it will be time enough for responsibilty!Proud member of the £2 club, joined 17th October

Well, I can recommend living abroad, I'm doing it myself! It's been a truly brilliant experience and will change you in ways you probably can't imagine.
However, I will say this. Do your research very, very throughly. So many people leap into this without looking into things properly and it ends up being a disaster. You'll need to check out visas/work permits (they usually have an age limit and working restrictions on them), tax implications on any earnings/assets at home/abroad, any cultural implications (like the no alcohol in most Middle East countries!), and other things that will probably never occur to you right away!
Check out the job market very throughly too, is there work in your area at the moment? Will they hire foreigners over locals? My friend (female) worked in Saudi Arabia for a few years and there are restrictions on what jobs and hours women can actually work there, so things like that need to be found out!
I don't want to put you off, just saying you need to really check this our properly before you dive on in!
You really need to research this properly before just jumping in.0 -
