If you really like rpg's then my choice would be Fallout 3 & New Vegas as has already been mentioned.

I also played oblivion to death and loved it but for me both Fallout's are better.

My opinion is that New Vegas is slightly better than Fallout 3 but you can pick up Fallout 3 for around £15 now for GOTY edition which is superb value and I would start with that one.

On the PC it has to be Everquest 2, especially as its now Free to play. I used to play WoW, have played Oblivion but Everquest is much more fun. Also there are less kids on Everquest than WoW so you get better groups. I took out Silver subscription which was a one off £8 and with no monthly fees I don't feel as if I have to play it but im addicted
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
  • RPG on consoles are fairly poor IMO. You might want to have a look at some PC games

Though now a lot of games on the PC are just console ports, I can tell you now, playing s.t.a.l.k.e.r. was a very refreshing reminder that games can not only be good, they can still be amazing.

its not a fantasy game, but stalker is pretty amazing, blows fallout out of the water hands down.

That said, I never felt much for oblivion, I found the "boss fights" really lacked the sense of grandeur they were meant to have and I never saw much in the way of tactics for it, I tended to play stealthy, so I could pretty much sneak attack one shot most humanoids anyway with a bow from 40 yards as well as being able to see everything with detect life. Then I discovered if you have 100% chameleon you can't be attacked by NPCs and stopped playing it. But anyway... My taste might be a bit different to yours is what I'm trying to say.

On a side note though, PC games are cheaper since they aren't trying to recoup money from selling consoles at a loss.

That's your opinion and I respect that, but in my experience rpg's on pc's can be pretty dull. If you want an enjoyable experience from gaming, console's are the way to go.

Ok so they may not have the processing power of gaming pc's but the graphics are generally better and games are easier to play.

I know this because I have a gaming pc and a 360 and the majority of games I would choose on the Xbox everytime.

New Vegas is a fun, involving game, with lots of quests / missions to complete and for a console game to offer 200+ hours of gaming I think it's a no-brainer, especially for the current price of £19.99.

Each to their own though and this is just my opinion, I just don't agree with slating a game "because it's a console game".

You could try a female or male partner far more fun than a video game ;0)
Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.

Tell that to the black ops and gran turismo widows.

Get morrowind goty and mod it.old but still worth a look and will play on old pcs.
Also mount and blade is good on pc.

As above bioshock is certainly worth a look on 360

Why not rent some games and see what they like whether in store or online, i use boomerang rentals, for £10 you can rent 1 game at a time and rent as many games you want in a month, juat a thought

ive got oblivion, fable 2 and 3 and dragon age and im liking all 4 but i havet done much on oblivion so maybe i havent got far enough to see if oblivion is better than fable 2 and 3

I used to play games on the pc, but I just got fed up with not knowing if they were going to work, either at all, or well, on my pc. Plus I was always having to upgrade, which I can't stand.
I want to know if I buy a game, A, it's going to work, B, it's going to work to a reasonable std.

Now my pc's grow old, but still do the job they are supposed to and my consoles still play the latest games that are coming out now.
