nowhere does it say you DON'T get your normal points spend in the T & Cs

plus it's an even bigger "rip off" than you think...Boots actually quote this on their advantage card page...

"The Advantage Card is the most generous loyalty card around. And with 4 points for every £1*1 you spend, and each point worth a penny when spent on products in store, you'll be treating yourself in no time."

so on a £100 spend you should get 400 points...so you really only get an additional 800 points....
    I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:

jeez half glass empty or what ;)
  • Torby - on a £100 spend you would get 2400 points (current offer is 1200 per £50 spent). 400 points you would get at any time if you spent £100 and therefore you get 2000 bonus (£20.00) and if you use the code for an extra 1000 points on a £100 spend then you have £30.00 worth of additional points that you would not usually get.

I do agree you need to price compare on some of the larger items as Boots are not always the cheapest. If you need a few things and are taking advantages of the 3 for 2 offer plus the extra bonus points on top then I think it is an outstanding deal. Will therefore have to agree to disagree with you on this one. :p

I am hoping to buy a Boots IPL hair reduction light which is £249.99. Can anyone tell me the best way to maximise my points?
I know to go through Quidco or TCB but I don't qualify to join the parenting club.

by something for atleast a penny and you'll qualify for 5 x 1200 points plus the voucher code for an extra 1000 points for spending over £100. That makes it 7000 points. Don't think you can get anymore?

btw is this it? as it's more than you stated.

Yes, that is the right system - and yes I thought it had gone down more in price so its £275....
I'll need all of those points to make it seem a bit less. But I should save in the long run as the reviewers all seem to think it works and I won't need to wax.

It's a pity that the protect and perfect set isn't on yet as I would have added that on as I've been waiting for it.
Do you think the points offer will come back on? Last year I don't think it came on in December but November was the last opportunity we had to get extra points, so I suppose I'll buy now and not wait. I'll find something to spend £25 on!

Thanks for this I made £49.24 in points for a £106. odd spend. So in theory I just paid for my aftershave set and one gift the rest works out free. :-)
  • how did you make £49.24 in points??? intrigued lol
