Hi
sorry but the screen keeps flashing every few seconds before i can copy and paste - as though it's designed so you can't copy page. Which particular stats do you need and i will type them? Thankyou for your patience.0 -

The ones from the bottom half of the table i.e ADSL link.
Yours may not be formatted the same as the above are from a Netgear router. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Talk Talk are really terrible, we just got connected a month ago, the router packed in, speed dropped from 3mb to 0.5mb, the call centres are terrible, they hung up on me, luckily they have no bank or credit card details of ours, now they have cut us off for non payment of the first months bill, we never recevied one, when I called they wanted a £104 which includes next month charges which I wont pay.0

How did you manage to get connected without having a DD or debit card authority in place? If you don't pay then they will simply trash your credit record, so not really the best approach to take.No free lunch, and no free laptop

My GF set it up over the phone, I did ask her if she had given them a bank account or credit card number and they never took one, they never asked her any real personal details, they sent an engineer out to connect the phone line, sent us a router and that was it, we are in rented accomodation and thought we would be here for 2 years but were moving out in January, I cant see a way they can trash her credit record, we will never be using this address in the future.
I would have paid the first months bill, but I'm not paying advance charges, they hung up on me last time I called, so we'll just leave it and return any letters.0 -
When a relative of mine applied for a mortgage the company tracked back over 5 years and various addresses.
You can't hide from these people.
We digress, has OP got their stats ready for posting? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

If your gf wants credit in future she will have to supply a previous address - that will link her old address to her new address. Result - trashed credit record at two addresses.0 -
Don't know if anyone else has had this, but we are ex Tiscali customers who are now moved over to TalkTalk. We received a letter telling us we need to bundle our bills, currently sent separately, for broadband and Telephone. This letter requires an action from us confirming we accept this bundling. It goes on to THREATEN us that they will cut off our broadband if we don't reply by Dec 31st!!!! Can they do this?0

I spent 3 weeks without any phone or broadband to BOTH of my phone lines (work from home) as when I called to report line fault TT claimed that I had no account with them despite the fact that I had bills etc! They just passed me from one (Indian) operator to another - all saying the same thing. When I finally got a number for UK they were just as useless. It wook FIVE days of calls until they admitted that I did in fact have ONE line! Finally decided to switch to BT just to get line repaired - they traced both accounts, got the switch in progress and call the engineers to get the two lines repaired the next day. I am sure that BT has its problems, but my experience with TT was dire.0
