In a contract but no longer a signal at my home
I have an iphone 3 with Three, I have about 20mths left in my contract.
Since last Thursday whenever I am at home there is no signal. The phone will either have searching or no service rather than the bars to show the signal strength.
Apparenty 2G has been switched off in the area and Three no longer have a contract to use an Orange mast in the area. I've been to the shop twice, emailed (myself and my husband has as he has the same issue), phoned yesterday and called again today. I was held for 25mins today and got no further on.
I've been told I will get a phone call from a techical advisor within 72hrs. I was supposed to have been transferred to one!
I work from home and rely on my phone.
I paid £129 towards the cost of the phone then pay £25 per month. Anyone now where I stand? I want out of the contract as they are no longer providing the service that they didn when I took out the contract. Had I had problems then I would have opted out of the contract during the cooling off period.
The shop won't help and I'm getting nowhere phoning Three.

Ring 333 on your mobile phone and go to through voicemail options to cancel contract - they will take you more seriously then - explain you cannot get a signal and request they transfer you to another network. Are you getting inactive USIM and emergency calls only on your phone - this means you have no network and I think they are obliged to switch networks for you. They fobbed me off with 3 different phones and a new sim - over a year. None of which worked before I said I was cancelling - then I was put through to a technical guy who admitted I had no network and cancelled my contract.
Good Luck0
