Is there a wet dog food which doesn't make them smelly?

Just been thinking. Zooplus sell a food called rinti.
They have some flavours that are just 100% meat, and some that are meat potato, so if you wanted to try a wheat free food I'd give them a look. They look really good.

skypie, mum uses Piriton with Milly and it works a treat. Maybe Scraggy just needs to have a nice gentle bath in stuff that won't harm his skin so much and try the gluten-free again, especially if he;s got the same symptoms you have. Has he been checked for an allergy to fleas/their poo?** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Thanks Rev I will check that out. Sounds good.
Elfen when I got him from the RSPC he was half bald because he had had a severe allergy to fleas and their poo and his previous owner hadn;t bothered to treat him when he caught fleas just dumped him at the RSPCA and he was riddled with fleas. They spent a year treating his fleas and subsequent allergy and he was there so long because no-one wanted this little bald doggy till we came along.
xxI have realised I will never play the Dane!
Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!!0 -

I changed my dog to this as she stopped eating dry food and I wasn't keen on giving her 'wet food'. She really likes this and my vet has commented on how much brighter her eyes are & how good her coat is looking. She also doesn't have that horrible 'doggy smell' any more (the dog that is - not the vet!).
My 9 month Cocker Spaniel has also stopped eating dry food, he was on Burns.
I too don't want him on wet food so I'll be giving Hi-Life Complete Moist a go, thanks for the info xx0 -

Your welcome pink-lady. Pets at Home are cheapest for the 6kg box with 20% off just now and 10% off code here (i think this code gives free delivery also) - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2790870
You might want to try the smaller bag first, in which case asda are the cheapest as they have it on rollback at the moment.
HTHHandle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it ....... just pee on it and walk away.0 -
My dog stopped eating his dry food too (james wellbeloved) and stopped putting weight on so we switched him to Pedigree wet food and he loves it & has put lots of weight on but stinks after he's eaten it and has rotten wind sometimes. We can't feed him the one in gravy because his ears get so dirty (he's a cavalier)
Once he's eaten this lot, I think i'll try him on the naturediet. I'd love to feed him Rinti (thanks for the link Rev) but I don't think our budget would stretch to that much. Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Thanks Montherbear,
I'll nip to Asda today and buy a small bag to see what he thinks!

Try putting a piece of rock sulphur in the bottom of his water bowl - it will very slowly disfuse into the water and the very low but regular dose of sulphur can really help with skin problems and a scurfy coat.
Would a cod liver oil capsule once a day help too?:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

Our little one is losing his coat because of Cushing's and we've started giving him a cod liver oil tablet daily and his skin and coat look great. He has big bald patches but the skin is in good condition and his fur (the bits he has left!) are long and lush. He reminds me of a seventies glam rock star who won't admit he's aging :rotfl::rotfl:
We also use Hi Life Complete Moist and they sometimes sell it in Home Bargins for £1.49 for 1.5kg0 -
Our westie will not eat any dried food but absolutely adores Wainwrights wet food trays - he dances across the kitchen at meal times & eats with such enthusiasm. He will only eat the lamb flavour.
His skin and general health is fantastic on this.0
