Right, as none of the MSE so-called 'elite' ::) have replied...this is how I did it.

Now lizten vairy cairfully - I vill zay zis onlee wunze!

First choose your animated pic...'harrythe cat' is a good source and has loads, (if only I could do links too!).

Hover your mouse over the pic and do a right click.

Go to 'Properties' and copy the URL (which is about half way down the list), by highlighting and then right clicking it and choosing 'Copy'.

Back to the MSE Forums homepage and bring up the 'Profile' menu.

Go to the 'I have my own pics' bit and paste the URL in there and click the box at the side of it. I also chose 'no pics' in the box above.

Scroll to the bottom and click on 'Change profile' button.

Voila...(I hope)

Can't wait to see what you choose! ;D

(Oh Lord..I do hope I got this right...had better have another go myself just to check!)

Well the 'ell is it ?. I did a google search and found some which would have made your hair curl, eventually electing to "tempt" you, I followed through the procedure ie rt clicked on animation>properties>copied URL & highlited it and chose copy>

Back to MSE>profile>deleted my pic introduced yesterday>clicked "I have my own pic>clicked the box>changed profile......................but where am I ?

I had trouble with mine once and it was the http bit was in the properties and in the box so make sure you ain't got two............................make sure the box is empty before you paste

try that first
