yes, I've seen it in Tesco :)

I think you tend to 'not see' things unless you're actually looking for them because there's such a huge variety on display these days

Well I will be due to give birth weeks after christmas so we are having a quiet one.

We are spending the day just the two of us (and the cats) in our new home.

For dinners OH is having steak, mash and veg and I will be having some nice sausages, mash and veg.

For pud I have no idea yet, kinda liking the idea of choc cake of some kind and am sure OH will want cheesecake.

I want to have a go at making some HM truffles, chocolates etc and will make some stollen and who knows what else!

  • Mmmmm, all sounds yummy! :)

Four of us for xmas day - 2 adults and 2 teenagers and we're having...

Breakfast: Cheese & Bacon stuffed croissants, Bucks Fizz

11.30ish: Cava, smoked salmon blinis and crab tarts for a little bit of present opening

a couple of pints in the pub...;)

    3.00ish:
Starter: Asapargus wrapped in pancetta with hollandaise sauce

Main: Turkey crown and roast pork, saus & bacon, roast potatoes & parsnips, homemade stuffing, brussels & chestnuts, glazed carrots, swede mash, gravy, cranberry sauce and bread sauce

Pudding: xmas pud & brandy cream for me, hot chocolate sponge pud & cream for the others

A bit later/tea/supper (!) whilst playing silly games:
cheeses, biscuits, Port, nice liquers, choc mints then - mince pies, xmas cake, yule log, whatever anyone fancies!

Also got xmas eve and boxing day menu sorted too. Not that I'm obsessed with xmas or anything.......ahem. ;)

We use to have this as treat when we were kids! And as far as I'm aware you can still get cream soda in Asda.

Look out for Helen Browning's organic sausages - available in Tesco and Sainsbury's. They taste lovely too. We have some in our freezer (smaller than a regular sausage but a bit bigger than a cocktail sausage.

Also if you haven't already discover Debbie and Andrew sausages then you should, they're wonderful!

I just found this too for a cake http://glutenfreemommy.com/lighter-than-air-chocolate-cake/
