I have tonight been pulled up by a traffic car on the motorway. my insurance is renewable on 27/11/10 I have accepted the fixed penalty, but after reading your post I may if I am still allowed attend Court, as it was a single Copper Seargeant though, he to my knowledge did not use any apparatus to record my speed? but told me he clocked me doing 94mph, I believe that if you do get a tug, the speed recording macines have to be calibrated etc.
I may now attend Court, fead back appreciated

Are you sure he did not use the machine in his car to track your speed?
I was pulled over a few weeks ago by a Traffic cop.:o He showed me the speed I'd been clocked at over so many tenths of a mile on the equipment mounted where the radio would be on your dashboard.
He issued a fixed penalty notice on the spot.

Result: 3 points £60 pound fine.
Notified car insurance, no increase in premium but at renewal the points may be taken into consideration.

I knew he had got 2 speeding fines in 3 years and didn't think he was aware he had to tell his insurers. He has full no claims and no offences -QUOTE]

    ??

No - he has 2 offences , whether his insurance company want to increase his premium is up to them.

You have replied to a post dating back to 2006.

You should let an insurer know about changes in cirumstances. Not doing so can lead to rejection to a claim ;)

Read your policy and do what it says…..

Mine has three sections, “you must tell us……..”

“Before” includes changing car or allowing a new driver to use it etc

“As soon as possible” covers accident & incidents etc

    “At renewal” covers convictions etc
