cheap carpet and furniture

I was wondering if any1 had any ideas on where or how I could get cheap stair/living room carpet and a new 3 piece?
my new dog (from the kennels) has wee'd and ripped up the carpet,
it absolutely stinks and looks horrible now, we have had to lift the stair and hallway carpet as it was so bad and now have bare floors so it is freezing!
Our 3 piece was 2nd hand when we got it and it is now around 18 years old!
we have never had a new 3 piece and would reall like to, but this may be a bad idea with 2 dogs and 2 toddlers!
I have tried family and friends and am sick of being told "oh yes my siters cousin friends have 1" and then hearing nothing again!
I also have a bad credit score so am unlikely to get anything on credit (not that I would really want it anyway!)
does any1 have any ideas?

Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!

How old is the dog? Clearly, you will need to house train it before you buy again - otherwise, you'll be buying every few months
Apologies if you've sorted the problem, but thought it was worth mentioning.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -

Not sure where you can get cheap carpet, but I had my whole house (two beds, lounge, hall and stairs and landing) recarpeted with top of the range carpet and underlay, and it cost £2,000, so probably a hall and stairs wouldn't be too bad - a few hundred maybe? And that's with good wool carpet. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Thinking about the carpets...how about keeping the floorboards and painting/varnishing/waxing them to save money? You could then get rugs to warm the floors up and these may be easier to wash/replace than a carpet? Just thinking that wooden floors are easier to maintain/clean than carpet.0

Only if you have floorbaords though! She may have concrete and that chipboard stuff like I do. Depends how old your house is. :j

I got a cheap large sofa and chair on ebay for £30 i just searched by postcode to find one locally. Its was not new but alot of people only have a sofa a short while before wanting a new one and mine wasn't in bad nick. I would wait alittle while before spending till kids are abit less messy. Good luck on the carpet front i will watch this thread in interest.0
