I panicked and looked at your locaton.. and breathed a huge sigh of relief!Wow piggers didn't realise you'd managed to get HR mobility. Downside with buses are parking and high deposits. We don't get HR which part of me is pleased about. Hope miss grizzly nappy is behaving herself. Lovely photo, those girls are growing up too quickly, stop them now!
I got higher rate for both girls!
There is no deposit we applied to the charity to get it paid and they have agreed within reason.
I think Freja is growing too quicky and is seems like days since those 2 were babies!.. DD1 is 16.5 and DD2 is 13.5.. I need a pause button for them.

Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -
Dippypud, I would wait till Saturday morning and see what the weather is actually doing where you are and where you are going to then sort out which car.
Thanks for that idea Kazwookie, we're not leaving London 'til around 10am.
I'll put the car box with all the emergency stuff in near the front door, so whatever we go in, we can put the box in as we leave.

Anyway I've done another couple of HHC's since then and I have finally finished my kitchen.

All cupboards have been cleaned inside and out,
All contents have been sorted, cleaned and put back
All rubbish has been binned and whatever I don't use is in boxes for the cs.

Bluddy hell Piggers...you got higher rate for both girls...I'm glad, hopefully you can put the money to good use against their shoe prices and giving them those experiences that they haven't been able to have yet considering their Dad doesn't contribute a penny, good job there is help available eh, he'd have had you all in the poor house!
Have you sorted the house out and that loan he tried to take out against the house?
Re the mobility car...with people losing their jobs and many, many departments having their budgets slashed, I would advise that you don't take too much time making a decision on your car, it may not be an option in the near future. I know of a few people who cannot claim or get any help despite their disabilities and caring responsibilities.
I'm sick to death of hearing that this project has closed or that support has no money and so can't offer really desperate people any help.Unfortunately it appears this is just the beginning....I did wonder where the government (**spits**) found that £7billion to help Ireland...but there is no money for victims of D.V., children with Autisic Spectrum behaviours, families struggling with life threatening illnesses etc, etc.
Work is workish, loads of unsettled colleagues due to cutbacks etc. For those who don't know I work in the public sector, or rather whats left of it.
We had a meeting with Job Centre Plus a few weeks ago, the changes that are coming are quite terrifying really, very draconian. Again, for those who are out of work the expectations do not match the job opportunites...I worry and wonder !!!!!! will happen.:(
Anyways....
OH is marching on with the back bedroom, a bit at a time when he gets in every night, really proud of his efforts.
Apart from that not much else to report, trying to work out next months budget, would like to keep spending to a minimum HA!!
I'm actually finding it really hard to think what people might want for chrimbo, got a blank head and a vacant stare most of the time...:rotfl:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Dippy - my Focus wasn't too bad in the snow and had efficient heating/heated wing mirrors, unlike my Landy which has neither and is a pain to defrost.
Lil me - anti rant hugs for you, I know exactly what you mean. My DH is just the same and it is infuriating.
Poohbear - don't worry, it wasn't heavy, just bulky. I am trying hard not to over do it but DH is away all week and SS has man flu
Dusty - Stiill manageable (just) - thanks for asking, got a cancellation to have the tests this week which is a result
I have been and exhausted myself doing a huge bulk shop so I should be able to get away with just the co-op for a while. Got SS to empty it out of the car and I am pottering to put stuff away. Just trying to do 10 minute bursts to clear the worst bits mainly.
Light relief for you - I had a rather cheeky email from 7yo DS1 last night about an app he wants to download. He hates writing, and his spelling is awful so you need to read it phonetically. I cried laughing but rather liked being the bestiest westiest mum in the world! We agreed some extra jobs he could do to earn the money this morning.

No snow here yet, it is forecast for the weekend but I doubt it will be as bad as everyone makes out! I must admit I love the snow but then I have lived in the alps where they know how to cope with 4 foot of snow, never mind 4 inch, not like here! I know you get it a lot worse up north but I'm on the East coast. :snow_grin0 -
