We're due to go to Barry in Wales this Saterday,

our friends were to drive in their Ford Focus, but I'm thinking if it's getting bad we'll take our Land Rover Discovery, it's an OLD Landie (1991) and a bit slooww, like me.

    What do you think ?

  • Morning everyone,

I woke up this mornng feeling like my head was stuck in a cloud - I seem to have a nasty cold again

It's freezing cold but bright sunshine here, I'm dressed but wearing my dressing gown to keep warm so I don't have to put the radiators on.

Going to jump in and sort out my living room before I pick DD up at 12.30. Hall is still tidy, and hoovered last night so looking good! The heap of washing that's sat by the WM cupboard is decreasing rapidly and it looks like there are about 3 loads left so will get that washed and to the launderette to dry today.

DH is going straight from work to finish another job tonight so I've let myself have a little sit down this morning and hopefully I wont be exhausted by the kids bedtime. I know they will make a fuss as daddy puts them to bed and reads their story every night, according to DS I just dont do it right!

This evening I desperately need to write my chairpersons report for preschool AGM tomorrow, and finish the ironing still sat on my living room floor.

I could quite easily go to sleep right about now, someone please give me a good kick up the backside...

RANT ALERT _ Ignore as required -Sorry I was MIA after yesterday morning but ended up being a busy and quite stressful day. Training day was slightly better apart from someone b*t*hing about me, which of course went down like a lead balloon. DPs been in a vile mood. HE knew for 7 weeks I was on a course last night then made plans, anyway he backed down eventually and cancelled. We have a shared calendar for a reason. Then today made plans again when he'd booked dietician/GP appointments. HE went to dietician who told him the same I have been saying for years (just exercise won't cure it) then shouted at me as if it was my fault. There is ALWAYS healthy stuff in & offered. MEN!

Anyway course last night was amazing, the specialist teacher is just amazing, so inspiring and honest. We went through a few strategies with DS1 afterwards which is handy for me, another set of eyes on a problem.

I've also just agreed to start training (they said I wouldn't need much and can I please let them know which parts of the materials need updating :o lol) as an Independant Parent Support with our local Parent Partnership service. More experience for me when I go into teaching & doing what I do a bit more officially. Quite excited actually even if it'll mean regular voluntary work.

Oh we had some snow, thankfully not sticky stuff.

Right, back to flying. I've got a day off, well ish. I've got an appointment at 12. Have been flying all morning, mainly in the kitchen which had gone back over a little. I've cleaned up half the garden then got too cold so my back went off a bit, so I'm back in to warm up with my PJ bottoms on as my trousers were wet. I'll put them back on when I go to do the other bit.

Hall and stairs mainly for me this afternoon then, in addition to more kitchen work as LR just needs few things picking up & windows cleaned

:rotfl: DPs start with his fad just now, said well we'll have to go shopping now - erm no I'll use what I have in healthier ways thanks!
One day I might be more organised...........
