  • Welcome to the thread 4 Times Mum -will send you a pm shortly. If you are going to be going out to work there will be less time for housework so you should get the children & OH to start helping now so that you all get into a better routine - not just you:D

Thanks for the pm. Yes - you are quite right. I think I'll do a week 'solo' and then I'm going to start allocating jobs - which to start with will take a bit longer as tbh the kids are pretty clueless when it comes to cleaning - but it also will have the benefit of preparing them for the adult world! :)
  • morning everyone :)

love hugs and spoons to those that need em!

have got another monster load of washing in, so thats 3 loads of whites done and 4 loads of black still to do  i have no tumble dryer either so its radiators and clothes horses for me as i wont be able to hang it out for long enough to dry.

Morning. Just a quick post from me. First of all:
    - Boddy - nice to hear from you. Glad yesterday went as well as it could. Make sure you look after yourself now xx
    - Calsberggal - lovely to see you back xx
    - Lil_me - I love the idea of the shoe boxes. Every January I could just move 'stuff' from the file into the relevant box. Your idea is being stolen! Thank you xx
    - Juliejim - great that the homecheck seemed to go well...keeping everything crossed that you hear soon xx

I'm out of action today. In fact, I'm going back to bed. Went to my docs yesterday about something else and got told off for not going about my cold. Anyway, antibiotics should sort me out but I've been banned from going outside until i'm on the mend. So, time for zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Think I could sleep for a month actually! See you later xx

    Morning all

PenPen my day was fine thanks (not sure why you asked? Did you think I was going to the funeral? The mum was a friend of a friend and I Know the funeral would have been packed as she had so many friends from near and far)

Woopecker was a spotted one - sorry I don't remember who asked Polly/Poohbear?

I've done my dailies so need to go and do some bits outside now like untying the climbers from the fence and planting more bulbs so off to wrap up warm.

Plan to dust all bedrooms later after I've invigilated.

  • Morning all – freezing here but sunny. Many thanks for the welcome back! Did nothing last night as really had CBA, but this morning I’ve thoroughly cleaned the kitchen, emptied and washed the bin and washed the floor before getting ready to come to the dire place I call work.

Toots- hi lovely, glad you had a good afternoon out
Mudders – hope you feel better soon and thanks for the welcome back
Boddy – I’m so proud of you for being able to read the poem, take it easy today as you will drained
LW – sounds a complete nightmare to me! Any DIY seems to turn the whole house turned upside down
Holly – you sound busy! Thanks for asking about Dan – his leg is still causing him pain. He wasn’t allowed to do the parade round Richmond town after the medals ceremony which was a shame as the whole town including the primary school waving little flags and the shop keepers clapping and cheering and the brass band playing and marching with them - very emotional. He’s been paid compensation but has/is challenging it as they said he’s improved, well yes after the initial operations and physio, but hasn’t seen any improvement now for over 3 months and they’ve stopped his physio even though they state he still isn’t fit!
Jo- jo you should just give her the champagne and tell her you love her – her treating you badly should not be rewarded IMO
LW – in my thoughts as ever

Hugs to all the poorlies and hope you improve soon. Suppose I’d better go and do some work! xx

Its great to hear your news carlsberggal. Brilliant that Dan will be home for Christmas. I am sorry about DD1. I remember how DS2 felt earlier this year when he had nothing. It is so demoralising for them. I hope something good comes along soon.

Boddy. I am glad everything went well yesterday. I am still thinking of you and praying for all of you.

Lil_me, my practice nurse says to freeze it in chunks and take one out when feeling like eating something naughty or for me she said when my mouth is very dry because of my meds. Open freeze on trays then bag up after. Or use in sweet and sour chicken, yum. It does your heart good to meet people like your little 4 yr old friend.

jojo I agree with the idea of a bottle and a card then maybe if she is more reasonable in the future you can treat her then.

Well done Mollina. I need to do something about a rather large rodent in my garden again. DH and DB have given him a name as he just sits and looks at them when they go outside. He was sitting in the hen feeder when DH picked it up to put inside last night. He thought it was heavy! He (DH) got an almighty shock.

Mudbath I hope you are feeling better soon.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
'I had a black dog, his name was depression".
  • Have just spent most of the morning on the phone to the mortgage company trying to sort out some issues with them, and then had to email out some invoices for DH. Now I can finally get started on my housework!

Everywhere is still looking pretty good, and so much easier to keep on top of now! I've got a midwife appointment at 2.10pm so can't forget that. One load of washing has just finished so I need to put another one in so I can take it all to the launderette to dry before my appointment. While I'm waiting for the WM to finish I'm going to keep working at my ironing pile - I can see light at the end of the tunnel!

Also making a start on packing today, went and bought things like tissues and antibacterial hand gel etc this morning so they can go straight in, along with clothes that are finally being ironed.

Feeling quite organised for once in my life! :T

Is it too early for lunch? My flat smells like cheese rolls that I baked last night and I've been dying for one all morning! Got the last of some lentil & bacon soup in the fridge too, yum!
