I have quite a few vouchers at the moment for apple so I can afford it but dunno if it is good?
What are pros and cons?
Thanks

My opinion of course but I wouldn't get one.
Cons:
Tied into apple
DRM
Completely under apples control ie no freedom
Expensive
Already being surpassed by cheaper alternatives.
Pros:

Right now I'd personally wait to see what the rash of new tablets about to hit the market look like but as you presumably need to spend your money with Apple then if you have a need for a tablet computer buy an iPad.
Pros - it's an easy to use sofa surfer with a good screen an long battery life.
Cons - zero expansion potential.0 -
you prob just want to read a review of it and the official apple [STRIKE]hypnosis page[/STRIKE] err specs
personally it is just a big screened last (3rd gen) ipod touch and the current 4th gen ipod touch technically does so much more for less money (retina display, HD video recording, facetime/fring video calls, ect.) albeit without the big physical display.
also it is strongly touted that the ipad 2 is going to come out early next year which will likely be an upgraded model (eg video calling camera) so could be worth thinking about, or waiting till then. (likely a release well before the 28th may if the current ipad)0 -
I would get one. I got one myself after debating for months.
Best thingI did as im loving it. It sits with me on the sofa and I can instantly call up IMDB when Im weatching a film to check something. It also helps that I have an iPhone as I can use a lot of the apps from that on the iPad.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
I use mine for hours every day and think its fantastic - it took a day or so to decide i liked it and i wondered if i should have gone for a macbook
I can browse the web , email etc , control my mac from the ipad , stream movies , watch my finances etc etc
It gets used 90% of the time and is just as good as a laptop - you do need a computer to go with it0 -

Apple insiders are predicting a new thinner lighter version with a built in camera and USB socket will be out early in 2011.
Bet it won't support flash either though! That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
>so not as good as a laptop?<
If you think it's another sort of laptop, you won't get the benefit.0 -
