They wouldn't let my friend take her knitting Crickett! Understandably not into the actual court, but not even in the waiting area either! Think she's trying to argue the court-issued pencils are sharper than her knitting needles and could do more damage if she was so inclined :D
  • Weird!

I was allowed to take (wooden) knitting needles on a plane in March. I am sure I could have more fun on a plane than in a court!

For anyone looking for some kind of community volunteering to do, most areas have a desparate need for school governors. You don't have to be a parent or teacher (in fact, sometimes they prefer it if you aren't :p) and its an opportunity to make a difference to future generations by improving their education.

Or if you are in Scotland - the Childrens Panel is always looking for sensible level headed people.

In 15 minutes I can double dig a 2ft square piece of garden - so I am on target at 15 minutes per day of getting it all done eventually.

Turns out I have some quite lovely soil - although it is riddled with bramble and dandelion roots at the moment. Dad says to pull and bn as many as possible and then be very diligent about weeding the raised beds.

I am accumulating quite a pile of stones - but I figure those can be dealt with later on.

Hard work this gardenning - but I am proud that have grasped the challenge with both hands and am providing for my family by "Digging for Victory":D

Finished my tea - back out to tidy up the havock I have raised.

Ok I won third time this year a tenner in a lotto yesterday. However got today summer raffle tickets from guide dogs. So in it comes and out it goes. Not very MSE but hey ho. :D

  • Well done Marru  £10 is good and Guide Dogs for the Blind is a great cause - I love Labradors (I know all guide dogs aren't labs but labs are such laid back softies).

Good news on the garden MG :T. I've just finished stripping my last skirting board and am taking 5 before getting the sander of doom out to sand the last of the skirting and the window sill. This afternoon will be tidy up and clean time .

On volunteering - autism charities are always grateful for befrienders - people who will take a young person with Autism / Aspergers out for a drink or to the pictures or any social activity that these young people tend to miss out on.

    Matrix... you totally rock!

I have just been taken to one side and told by my New Best Friend, aka the cowbag, that she is pregnant and after September, she won't be here for a while. The way she phrased it was "I won't be here anymore". I don't know if that means she is not coming back, or if she won't be full time and things will change lots.

You have no idea how much this pleases me! :D I am going to go home tonight and start crocheting a baby blanket for the new arrival! :D:D:D:D
