DS1 wants to know if the baby is here yet?

Hes a bit young to be broody - but still - LOL

The Secret is a book that some of us have read - about positive thinking, postive intentions and expectations.

Your library should have a copy - or I think theres and e-copy floating around on here somewhere.

  • :jYay, a new thread to try and keep up with!! :j

Have just dropped kits off at the collection point this afternoon. I went to the desk and told the man I had been told I could drop some stuff off there - he said 'Oh is it 'kits for kids? You're the third person today! The first time I was a bit surprised but I'm getting used to it now!'

On the same trip I went to a lady who re-homes rescue hamsters (literally on the next road) and now have a friendly little chap who will be my daughter's first pet at Xmas - and if she gets tired of looking after him I'll be happy to take over :D

Hope things are going well for everyone this afternoon, still witing for news Winky!

    Part of the Furniture
Just popped on the say Ive found the new thread. Its mums funeral tomorow so everythings ready. I am going to read a poem We are having a strange experience with my cat. My brother and sister in law are here staying. For all the years they have been coming the cat has hated being in the house with my brother and cried fiercely to get out. Lived out side till brother went back. He was badly treat when young. This week although the cat has been outside he is happy enough in the house beside my brother. He has also been sleeping in the spare room with me. Very strange.
  • Thank you - I will have to try to hunt it down

  • Oooo a lovely, shiny new thread!!

Well i'm back from the house sit and although I managed to read about everyone's news, was unable to post as the @!*^$ broadband kept dropping out  Home now until 2nd week in dec, when I'm at 'my country estate ':rotfl: looking after, amongst other animals, 2 reindeer!

Learnt I will have some extra cash next year,so I will NOT worry about how or when I will get the house sorted, instead I'll make some lists, 1 for needs and 1 for wants and keep revisiting and revising them.
The sense of relief is great :)

Well done MG on your successful day ,and looking forward to your visit to the South West and meeting up with other mse'ers!
Winky, hope you have a the water birth as planned!

Speaking to DS1 yesterday, and telling him about MG and the site, he told me that he mind maps ,in his head!! to find and resolve problems on the computers he works on,[very dyslexic !] He has his own business and works on computers anywhere remotely including sorting out 'puzzles [trojans etc ] from m@*£%cr @$%& . His writing looks like spiders dropped in ink crawling across the page, good at lateral thinking and comes up with lots of creative solutions to probs, and is a wonderful dad to his 3 dks.

take care all, and keep warm!

  • DT : re.Tesco - Can you reserve and collect on the day? ... If you want to send a list I could check for you as I pass Handforth Dean every day (Stockport is pretty big as well and easy to get to).

    NL

You can only reserve from tesco direct and they are out of stock also there are a couple of things I need to actually look at but thanks for the offer and my final destination is Stockport so I could go to both if necessary.(and there are a few things I need from M&S:o)

  • Boddy - thinking of you and your family x

NorthernLas & Sailorgirl - thank you so much for the travel details, NorthernLas it is a lovely offer from you but I'll get the bus or train into Manchester as the traffic is likely to be horrendous and would feel bad about adding onto your journey so much. is a very generous offer though :D

Off to spend a bit of time with OH now as we've hardly seen each other all week x
