What a gorgeous young man you have brought up MG.

Good luck for today - there will be lots of tears, hugs and cuddles all round. It is important to both grieve the loss and celebrate past achievements. Give it a good send off and then you can both look forward to your new venture with excitement.

Fantasia - did you catch the name of the website where those male undies are being sold :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

MG remember to tell the local authority that you are home schooling.

Well we are all home - but I feel like my skin has been turned inside out and have had to take my contact lenses out as I spent almost the whole time from 9 till 1 sitting in the car crying and I look like a scary red-eyed thing.

DS1 is being very quiet and still and DS2 keeps going between him and me to try and "kiss it better".

Just a few more hours to hold it together and then I can let it all out when the boys are in bed.

His teacher did have a chat with him about how none of this is his fault, how he works really hard, how proud she is of him and how hard I have worked to keep the school going over the years ..... which was really sweet of her.

Nice lady - will be really missed

Been away all week and had been lurking a bit but didn't have time to post a proper reply.

    MG,

I think it must have been gut wrenching to make the call to Mr B to say you were going to have to throw in the towel. I think it says something about him (& Mrs B) that they wouldn't take that from you and want to carry on mentoring you but in a business that is right for you right now. He really is a BIG man to stay with it. In time there will be other opportunities for you.

You have given DS1 an amazing start to his education and I just KNOW that you are the right person to home school him and carry his education on in the same vein :T Will you still send DS2 to nursery to give you extra one on one time with DS1?

And with the added worry of your Mum as well life really has been a rollercoaster for a little while for you.

Sending you hugs, lots of them.

    Maty

    Good Evening

Been to the fracture clinic with dh this morning, his elbow is def broken, but his wrist is still too swollen to see according to the dr's. Sp he has to try and move his arm now.

Went into Newport afterwards and got some cracking bargains so chuffed, Went to boots cause I had a no 7 £5 off voucher and 2 no 7 250 points vouchers, so got no 7 facial wipes on 3 for 2 and £5 off so paid £9 for 3 pks plus had 250 in points as well, had another £5 off voucher so got another pk for £2 and another 250 points, overall saving of £17.00

Then we went to Claires accessories and they were doing 10 items for £10 so bought 3 pairs of boot slippers price tag £12 each 3 nail gift sets price tag £10 each, a watch price tag £10, a book for mum price tag £7, a book for ds2 price tag £9 and an hello kitty bag pricetag £10, so has £104 worth of stuff for £10 bargain or what?? and a good few birthday pressies too so all in all saved quite a lot of money today

    Shattered now though
    Boiler pot £30.92/£1000

I really feel for you today MG.

Ach I spent most of the day in tears too. Work is getting me down. The girls are just so used to being able to do what they like and no matter how nice and fair I am I just will not ignore laziness and bad attitude. I'll be fine. It's a great company and the pay is good but God I earn it when it comes to staff stuff!!!

    Well done Claire.

Souk, I always say as a line manager that my job would be easy if it wasnt for the staff. I used to work on a reception (you know the woman in Bread? - well that counter) and I used to think that even the worst customers were 10 times better than some of the staff.
Stick with it, there are times when the staff will surprise you and do something amazing. I also used to wonder if I was ever so much trouble for my boss.
You are right not to accept laziness. If you keep plugging away they will get used to the new regime. It just takes time.
