Boddy so glad it went well for you.

Fantasia, hugs and positive vibes to you. Also to Tuppence.

My day was rotten, back at work after the week off but it's my own fault as I went out dancing last night with my gay friend, CBA to have breakfast and generally did not look or feel on top form. Nice to see my friend though as he's off on hols tomorrow. Day off tomorrow so nice bath later and a bit of tidying tonight methinks.

Hope Baby Winky is ok X

  • Boddy - what a lovely tribute to your Mum (((hugs)))

Fantasia - hoping that all went well for dss. Whatever happens he can be so proud of what he has already achieved.

Clootie - that brought a smile to my face. Well if you are going to go, you may as well do it in style. Sounds like it was worth a 10? :rotfl:

Hugs to Cherisong; Daffy and any other poorlies out there. My own wierd tiredness metamorphisised into a full-blown head-cold, cough, earache and high temperature yesterday. Least I don't feel guilty for constantly sleeping now as at least there are noticable symptoms to explain it. Bored with it now - that's a full seven days I haven't been right - time for it to go now - begone :rotfl:

Still thinking of Winky and hoping all has gone well.

    Love to all, Thriftyxxx

Thank you for the messages. It all went well. I did dissolve when I got up to read the poem but managed to compose myself. The poem was about roses in heaven so after I read it I put a single rose on her coffin. Just relaxing tonight and hopefully will sleep better.

Well done to you Boddy, I am glad your mum had a good send off. I hope you can sleep in some peace tonight xxx

Tuppence - hugs to you xx

fantasia - Lots of ++++++++ for DSS. I really hope they can find a way forward to save his career and well done him on not sticking on the road to nowhere xx

Winky - Hope you are OK and that labour is over and baby winky is safe and sound.

Sue - glad your back op went well and that you're relatively pain free xx

A nice shiny new thread :D Seem to be really busy lately, we've had a new additon to the house, no not a Matrix baby well least not a human one  We are now the proud owners of Mia a 14 week old kitten who jumps on my lap every time I perch somewhere long enough :rotfl: Life certainly isn't dull :D

Glad Kits for Kids is going so well. I confess I didn't have any response from my friends so apologies for my lack of donations :o

DSS1 just off the phone, and as yet not medically discharged, they offered him one (he does not want one) or the chance to go see a consultant to get some more medical info, and find out what the prognosis is/ Which i though would have een the 1st port of call, anyway, DSS wll continue for the moment butnot allowed to do any of the heavy training exercises, just the parade ground stuff for graduation so for the time being he is still officially in the forces. .
Going to phone tomorrow and speak to one of the parental advisors just to make sure.
Thank you to everyone for [positive vibes. They DO work xX

Feeling poorly and veyr sorry for myself - loads more philosophy left to read for tomorrow. Though I love it, it is much better savoured than under pressure.

OH away, Little Boy poorly...Oh well...Life!

  • Sorry to hear there are still so many poorlies on here - this coldy thing really seems to linger horribly too - I've still got the odd symptoms now although I managed to work through the worst of it thankfully. As a result opf me still having a cough etc though we gave in and put the heating on at the weekend - a full 10 days earlier than last year but better that than the place getting cold and damp and my cough lingering all winter again.

    |Boddy glad the funeral went as well as possible, and a big WELL DONE to you for being strong enough to honour your Mum with the poem. I imagine that your family are feeling incredibly proud of you right now.
Winky hope mini has arrived OK and Mum, dad & Baby are all doing well.
Fantasia didn't see this until you'd posted the current outcome but glad to hear that the positive vibes had an effect, and will continue to send mine for him to be able to stay in and continue his chosen career path.
    Apologies for anyone I've missed.

I had a positive demonstration of my client's committment to having me as part of the team today as next week I will be unable to do my "regular" Monday for them - I'd noted this to them previously but we had not discussed how we would deal with this. with no hesitation at all they agreed to me doing Tuesday /Thursday next week instead so I won't lose a days pay - hurrah!

Fantasia - I would have been sending positive thoughts today if I had been on in time to read! See that there is some positiveish news so will now start sending positive thoughts that the specialist comes up with a great solution that will keep him on his chosen career path. Having read your story I can image how proud you are over the way he has turned himself around.

ClootiesMum - Sorry but I have a real banana skin sense of humour :o
and laughed at your unfortunate experience this morning :rotfl: One of those days when you wish you had stayed in bed!

Boddy - So pleased that you managed to get through today, sleep well tonight.

Tuppence - A truly shocking tale, it is bad enough when someone outside hurts your family but when it is someone who should love and nurture them.... I hope that the therapy and new environment work quickly for both DGD and DD.

Winky - Here's hoping you are so thrilled with your little girl that you can't bear to be apart from her for a second to post the good news on here. The thought of you still being in labour is too much to consider!!

To all those with the lurgy, take extra care of yourselves. These bugs seem to be hanging round a long time this year.

Sending positive thoughts to those I have missed and those that need them :D

Would have thought getting specialist advice would have been first thought. Still, looks as if there is hope for him being able to continue.

Boddy - glad you got through the day OK

FW - hope you feel better in the morning.

Clootiesmum I loved your story too. I can be clumsy and have had many a fall over the years. My favourite (which was agony at the time!) was one night I was standing at the top of a flight of stone steps in the port at Corfu and our preordered pizzas arrived. It was getting dark and I was wildly excited as I love my food so I went to run down the stairs, missed my high heeled footing and rolled down about 9. What a complete plantpot!!!!
