Just come back from Asda. Unfortunately a lot of the things from the swapathon voucher book were out of stock tonight but picked up some more MOCs in the various magazines on offer:

January Asda magazine has 50p off Strepsils (Expiry 6/2)
January Asda baby (which is a separate magazine found on my CS desk) has the following:
    50p off Johnsons wipes
50p off Johnsons face wipes or exfoliating wash
50p off Johnsons Baby bedtime range

(sorry not printables...but good to top the purse up)

Also got the last 2 bottles of Persil (85 wash) on rollback from £14.99 to £5 - whoa!! Should last me 'til... next year :rotfl:

    Good evening all
Roadkill today 12p (15.6p in real terms)

    Good morning:rotfl:
Time for a bit of pedanticness, since m4rtin hasn't said it yet;):)

Surely in REAL terms it is 12p:cool::cool:
In "earned income" terms (before our beloved friend the taxman gets his wedge) it would be 15.6p ish.;)
It's nice to be nice .....

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I have noticed in today's paper Tesco have a double page advert with a promise as follows:

    Our promise to you:
If you have got an Asada Price Guarantee voucher that shows they're not 10% cheaper, we'll accept it at Tesco. So why go back to Asda?

Not seen a paper yet... was this in all the papers and comics today?
If so, the Tesco staff might have even seen it themselves:T:T

From 6 January, if the Asda basket is not at least 10% cheaper than other major rivals, customers will receive a voucher that makes up the difference.

Tesco has now entered the fray, pledging to accept Asda's Price Guarantee vouchers in its stores.
Tesco has double-page ads in today's Sun, Mirror and Daily Mail that explain the 12 complex steps Asda customers must complete to receive the Price Guarantee, while promising to accept the vouchers in its own stores.
The ad said: "If you've got an Asda Price Guarantee voucher that shows they're not 10% cheaper, we'll accept it at Tesco. So why go back to Asda?"
:p:p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS! :p:p :rotfl:;)

    Found that here http://marketingmagazine.co.uk/news/1049774/Tesco-fires-back-Asda-price-guarantee/

Sadly also read this from some Morrisons director (Idiot IMHO :D) :(

    Online strategy

One area where Morrisons is apparently trailing its competitors is the lack of an online shop and delivery service, but Hodgson was adamant that Morrisons would not simply start a delivery service just because competitors had.
He said: "For online, we are not going to rush into anything. Online delivery operations are losing a lot of money – does it make commercial sense at Morrisons? What would be the gains? It is pretty hard to make money out of it.
"Market share is the thing to consider, so we would be crazy not to look at it."
A decision is expected later this year.

I personally would be very happy if Morrisons did online delivery! They are cheaper than my local sainsburys, have great offers. They would get my custom!

Not got an Asda near me but I think that wombling receipts could be very profitable.....

I haven't done it but doesn't look like you need to prove it was you that actually bought the items?? http://www.asdapriceguarantee.co.uk/Compare-Prices/ASDA-receipt.aspx

Probably best to stalk those paying with cash though, not traceable :D:rotfl:

I'd be happy if they had a decent website!! At least if they were on MyS you could compare prices easily and see what's on offer.....We have two big M's in my town but I never go because I don't know what's on offer to make the trip 'worthwhile'

We also have two Tesco Extra's and a very big Sainsbury's but the bloomin' council won't let Asda in!! :( (Not that I'm at all bitter as you can prolly tell :rotfl:)

  • Evening all! I've had a good day - very lovely letter from Tesco following my complaint about my local store not accepting Waity and then accepting but taking back off a Sains coupon. Confirmed which stores they took coupons for (didn't know they took Coop or Boots!) and sending me £20 moneycard. Hope they also put in the letter the stores so I can take it in with me.

Postman brought me a £20 postal order from the Fabulous Baking Boys - I bought some halloween cupcakes and they were the most dreadful things I have ever tasted - told them as much in an email as I was so cross that something like that could be sold as food. Bleurgh!! Really didn't expect anything but they sent a wee box of goodies a few weeks ago and then this postal order so hurrah!

    No roadkill today though!!

Well done on getting a sensible [and positive] reply from Tesco in clear English. As yet I am still waiting for them to clarify the clear as mud response that I had - maybe they wouldn't work it out for themselves either! *rolls eyes*
