    1) extra item(s) that is not on the shopping list (also paying full price).
    2) get the wrong stuff! (common knowledge)
    3) does not look for bargains like we do.

  • I have no choice but to trust my OH shopping again today, as too poorly to go out. :(

He will nearly always forget something [not tissues again, if he knows what is good for him!] but will phone from the bargain chiller and ask if I want any of the goods there.

Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well (((Unintended Muse))), hope you’re better soon.

Decision made - I went to the shops! Was quite civilised up until about 12 then it started to get busy.

Sainsbury’s had some of the orange and lemon candied slices) reduced to 50p (I only ever buy a box at Christmas and then only when they are reduced). I bought some tubes of Maltezers which I thought someone had said had been reduced to 25p but they were 50p so I put most of them back.

I also managed to use the Finish Quantamatic voucher, although the checkout op would only put it through as £4.97 not £5 – still I don’t mind, it’s only cost me 3p.

Left DH to clean the decking but he decided today might be a good day to surprise me and ‘trim’ some of our (big) trees with the chainsaw he had bought himself for Christmas instead  (what is it with men and chain saws?). I have come home to huge braches all over the garden and no sign of the decking being cleaned - we have friends coming round in less than 3 hours _pale_ . I’m going for a lie down in a darkened room and might not get up again until 2011 .

BTW Sher, Have you got any good money saving forum in US...???

I haven't found a good forum yet but I thought I found a good website but the toolbar I had to download really messed up my laptop and it took me ages to get my laptop back to working properly so I'll stay clear of that site! I really could have done with Hubby yesterday as fixing the computers was his department!!! There are loads of sites to get coupons from though!!!!:D
