I do agree with you, but a huge amount of fake sites for branded goods have <brandname>.uk.com as the URL, so it's not a massively incorrect statement to make.0 -

Agreed but it is still an incorrect statement. Although most people will do their own research and realise that the statement is incorrect some people will not.
