I do agree with you, but a huge amount of fake sites for branded goods have <brandname>.uk.com as the URL, so it's not a massively incorrect statement to make.

Agreed but it is still an incorrect statement. Although most people will do their own research and realise that the statement is incorrect some people will not.

Just that struggling uk business do not need to lose business through incorrect statement.
