Spot on.Children - no, they are people - I can only interact with computers why else would I be here?
Me too.
The trouble is that a lot of kids are encouraged to be monsters. In my day you were quiet unless spoken to. You behaved (or got a smack). You weren't a nuisance or somebody'd tell your mum - and you'd get a smack.
Nowadays they're pushing/shoving, noisy, annoying, demanding, with a full 'entitled to' attitude, aggressive when even looked at - threatening when possibly challenged ... and that's just the parents setting them an example.
It's not the kids' faults, it's bad parenting.
So many times you go somewhere and parents drag their kids into wherever that is (beach, restaurant, pub, any other public place) and will TELL their kids "go play away from us, your dad/I want some peace and quiet", forcing their loathsome brats into our quiet spaces and expecting us to "look after" them ... but heaven forbid we should say "Oi, brat, stop doing that, you're out of order".0 -
NO. Horrible creatures. Anyone that has kids should be deported - along with their kids - to some far away remote island to give the rest of us some peace and quiet.
Ah well I deported mine to a far off island where adults like children. ;-pI wouldn't fall in to the trap of thinking that this forum is a representation of the thoughts, feelings and opinions of the general public of England. I think we've established many times that a lot of the people on here have quite skewed view of a lot of things. Take the following quote from Snooze. It's a view I'm sure you'd find some people share but, for whatever reason, it's a view you could find more more easily on here than you would in the real world.
I thought that a poll on this forum would be representative of the thoughts of people that post on this forum. No more, no less.

Depends on the children and the circumstances.
Generally, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt before deciding.0 -
I like children, generally, like you all say I think it depends on the parents. The children of the parents I know are all polite and well behaved. There's something nice about the innocence and unreseveredness (if that's a word) of them, lack of self awareness, quite happy to say what they think sort of thing.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Kids are great! It's adults who don't like kids that I can't stand!0

Most kids are fine. the occasional one is a little brat that I would cheerfully choke.

I can cope with blood related children for a short period, probably because I am a moody and anti-social mare. Non - related peoples of all shapes and sizes I have an even lower tolerance for.Emergency savings: 4600

On the whole yes, and the ones I'm not so keen on are the product of their parents - you can't blame the kids...0
