Apparently there's a bulletin out on the Tescos network advising them to catch the CCTV footage of people returning Quality Street tins for a refund, espeically in lots of two. Management are advised to issue a ban on site, apparently.

Lol in that case they will love me, I returned 2 tins of celebrations last night for a refund and then bought 2 tins of quality street (just in case), £9 returned and then £9 spent! Would love to hear their reason for the ban!
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p
  • I got mine today bought 6 tins of Quality street total was £47.88 minus discounts of £27.00 = £20.88 so effectively cost me £3.48 a tin.

Off the £20.88 the SA also accepted £11 worth of money off vouchers so paid £9.88 for my sweeties - top bargain

Hi Welshy. I have tried but failed... only the proper discount came through. PAH... i´ll have to see what I do? I might try again but is difficult to know if they are going to work. However I managed to get my shopping from 110 to 44 so not bad.. thanks to BOGOF,H&B vouchers, some others and a R&R on the davinci code. Very pleased.

A ban on site.....do you mean this site? the Tesco site or a ban on sight? HA HA ;)
Whenever I'm caught between two evils, I take the one I've never tried......

It will be because the cashier forgot to put the manual adjustment through to give a £5 discount when you spend £30 (or £50 in some stores).

I tried this on Friday in a store that had the 'min spend £30' posters up, hoped that the offer wouldn't kick in but the cashier (female of course, they know the score!) did a manual adjustment in front of my eyes!
