Since my Mum died we don't see a lot of each another and living miles away, so we had thought it makes sense to forget gifts, except for the kids.
So i know this is a sad post and i can relate to it, but Kiwi you did make me laugh.
Trouble is if i posted that on my FB it would be weeks before it was noticed.

Its the same here. Its very sad. I am considering setting up some sort of lonliness/lacking in social confidence type/self help book reading support group - not sure entirely of the details but we will see.

    lol no thanks

My group idea was more along the lines of a book club with an emphasis on self help type books. Or a dealing with social anxiety support group. I'm not sure. Its mainly selfish and I do find that most people are "worse" than me and so unlikely to "help" my progress.
  • I've been thinking about joining my local book club but feel a bit bad as i'm not a big reader and only really got into it recently. i guess thats part of the point though to get people into reading more.
  • yes and reading stuff that you wouldnt normally consider. This is the link for finding groups in your area; I sent some emails on Wednesday and so far I had no response ;(
