I got my order today but it was wrong. Got one of the books I ordered and the red luggage. They did not give me one of the books that I ordered (which cost £3.50) and of course no stephen king books. Stranger still they seem to have replaced the book I did not get (even though it states on the invoice sheet) with Dora's stories (a boxed set) which I did not ask for! I will also now be trying to get hold of customer services!! Great book to have when I have no children, and have no friends with little children:rotfl:Also missing book was for xmas present - Not happy :mad:
Is ther person that is packing the books drunk?LOL

I rang up CS about book I did not get - lady seemed ok. She said to keep the dora explorer books (that I did not order) - very useful and they will send the book out I did not get within next 10 days. Hope it gets here ok. :think:
I forgot I actually have another order with them too (the first one I made) which I have not received yet. Hope I don't have to ring up about that one too. Maybe I will get another free useless dora the explorer boxset again - Ha Ha

Just stumbled across this thread. I ordered the Stephen King Collection 2 for £7 this morning. After reading the last 4 pages of this thread I've just logged in to Books Direct and my order status is: In Stock, Awaiting Picking. Am I likely to actually get my order? How can they cancel all your orders yet say they have stock to send me?!

Yes I agree it is very strange! I think they had a limited amount of SK books at that reduced price and then sold out quickly but did not change the details on screen for customers. Was also disappointed as no SK books for me although I ordered. On the order I received today it does say SK books permanantly out of stock.

I was told that Box set 2 was permanently out of stock, complained that they were misleading customers by advertising set was in stock. I have just checked my order history and my 1st order is complete minus boxset 2. My 2nd order for box set 2 which was placed on 22nd is also showing as complete. I didn't place the 2nd order, CS must have done it for me after i complained.

Anyone still wanting Boxset 2, try placing another order as it's showing as £7 in basket so it should be in stock.

I received the red travel set and an invoice stating that it is permanently out of stock- fair play to them for still sending the gift though, I didn't expect that at all!

Told by CS that "Completed" means that it has been dispatched.

I'm gutted this was a great pressie, how can they justify still advertising it anyway. they should honour the orders at that price regardless of how many they had 'set aside' at the special price! If not they should have ended the deal before we placed orders!! There email address doesn't seem to exist???:(
