it might be show as 0

but make sure you check your bank statement it will show otherwise (the correct amount)

i am speaking form my own experience
  • Just ordered both Stephen King sets and a Dean Koontz mug, total should be £15.99 but order confirmation shows it as 99p, I have also checked my online banking, and 99p has become unavailable from my debit card. How does it work with debit cards, if they have taken the 99p, can they then come back and take more? Not really a problem, the £15.99 is well worth it anyway.

I ordered the SK set when this was first posted, and its showing as being in stock and priced at the original £7 (as it did when I ordered it). Can someone who ordered recently confirm whether its showing as in stock for them as someone mentioned it showing OOS.

  • I was told today by CS that the box set was permanently out of stock, very misleading as the set is still showing as instock.
  • I've ordered a deal off them before that was out of stock still got it just took a while
    Make £11,000 in 2011 challenge - £120/£11,000
  • I bought both Stephen King collections as I am a big reader and love collecting books. I've got a feeling that this deal has a bit of the "too good to be true" about it but felt it was worth a try. I too received confirmation of my order stating that the total was £0.00 - very confusing.

I have emailed their customer services department to equire about this and the fact that my order status says "complete - item no longer available". I have highlighted the fact that if indeed this item is out of stock or no longer available that their website could be perceived as misleading. I await their response with anticipation and will report back if their reply is worth the forum space!

    Hi,

Talking to their CS is like talking to a brick wall. I told them they were misleading customers by advertising the items in stock when they are telling me that they are permanently out of stock. They just said they would pass my complaint to the relevant department and if i didn't want to keep Box set 1 then i could return it at my own cost. CS are hopeless.

    Hope you get a reply
  • I'm having problems with them already since the customer service email address they provide on their website keeps bouncing my emails back. Will try and give them a phone this morning and see what happens. I don't really mind if I don't get the offer if it is unavailable as long as they don't take payment from my account.
  • I have just spoken to their customer services and the girl was nice enough but said that the books were unavailable and would not be coming back in. I enquired as to why the site would allow me to place an order in that case, when they knew fine well that what I wanted was not available. She said that they were trying to updated the site and that it did say that the books were out of stock but that I just hadn't noticed. Looking back on the site again now it clearly states that the books are "in stock" - so that was a blatent lie from her. She also has the cheek to tell me that although the books I wanted weren't available that they had lots of other good book bundles deals to choose from - if I wanted those ones I would have bought them in the first place!

I would usually pursue this further but I can't be bothered chasing after these people so I will take her word for the fact that I won't be charged for these books, keep an eye on my bank statements and forget this website exists as it has proven to be pretty useless.
