Thanks again for this OP great bargain.

my orders arrived today (one not fully but never mind)

don't know if this helps anyone establish whether they would be getting both sets but i ordered both sets at 12.02 am on November 20th and I have received both sets. I Then placed the exact same order for both sets at 2pm on the 20th for another gift (too good a bargain not to!) but that order status said collection 2 item permanently out of stock and hey presto it was not included in the delivery. not to worry still great gift for someone.

So what i'm trying to get at is that if you ordered the second set before 12.02am on the 20th then you should get it as i did. it must've gone out of stock between 12.02am and 2pm on the 20th

    Hi,

I received boxset2 today, my order was placed by CS on the 22nd after i was told the boxset was permanently out of stock.
  • Too cut along story short every1 i spoke to a manager on cs and she also told me it was out of stock untill i dropped trading standards in n how she would immediately have to take it off sale of clearly state out of stock b4 people could get it to there basket i then challenged her and asked i it was due to the price people were actually paying for them it was then she told me suprise suprise they were now back in stock after being permanently out of stock Basically any1 who ordered it and the glitch went through will only get what they payed for .... just think its !!!! they give us the whole out of stock thing ......:@
  • I had my 1st order minus SK2 - permanently out of stock.
Reordered SK2 & it's now showing as complete - hope that means I get it - fingers crossed.

I think you are right! It's strange how when I reordered the SK2 set for £7 (correct at the time) it came up as awaiting picking and now says complete (so I assume it will be sent out to me). They must still have it in stock because although it's not on deal of the week anymore both sets are £30 each (if you do a search for them so they have updated the site). They keep changing the price - the other day it was £25 each. It's fair enough if they made a mistake and I can understand they need to make a profit but the company does not fill me with confidence...I can't afford to lose out on £7 + missing book at £3.50. Will let you know if I receive.

The ones at £30 are different sets to the ones that were the deals of the week.

The first order I made (following original post) was 2 sets of SK2, Imperium book and secrets of the chess machine book all for £5.49. The SK sets came up as £0 and stated item no longer available on order status. I have not received the SK collections (and not charged for those so am not complaining) but recieved the secrets of the chess machine in a box with a dora the explorer set I did not order! The imperium book (about £3.50) was not in the box. I rang CS and they said they made a mistake and would send another out to me. I also re-ordered the SK2 set when I read that other people had ordered again cause in stock and so I paid £7 (correct price). I emailed CS to check the book is being sent out to me and to say I did not receive the SK collection and the email I got back was:

Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry to learn of the problem you have experienced. Arrangements have been made to send a replacement copy of the title 'Imperium' and it will be with you shortly. We regret to inform you that the title 'Stephen King Collection 2' was extremely popular. As a result, we have completely sold out and we are not expecting further supplies.

I did not expect the first sets (because I paid nothing for them) but got this email after I reordered the SK2 set for £7 which I have paid - so am concerned they will not arrive as she states they have 'completely sold out'.
Sorry sounds complicated. I did write about this in a previous post but did not refer to it again so it sounds like I may have confused you. Will let you know if they turn up. It is encouraging that you have used them before and not had a prob. :)

I do agree with you. It is their mistake and it is annoying having to chase them all the time. I think (from reading earlier posts) some people got the books and paid nothing for them so it seems a little unfair that others did the same and did not get them - and even worse people like me reordered and are not sure if they will get them and have paid £7 or £8 (depending on set).
  • totally agree with youuuuuu !!
