christmas trees tinsel or real?

Me & my OH had a pokey studio flat when we first moved in 10 years ago.....so we had a tiny like 2ft white tree! It was a shocker
:)
We have also had real trees and as much as I love the smell, I just couldn't decorate it pretty enough.....and the tall stalk at the end always bothered me as nothing ever fit the top of it. Not to mention the cat had a nice habit of chewing the bottom branches.
So after moving into or first 'mortgage home' (still a pokey flat but 2bed) we bought a £30 asda 7ft prelit tree. It looks nice and full all the way to the top and the plan is for it to last for years to come. And we have a slight theme on the decs but each year we buy 1 new decoration for the tree to give it some character.0
