Def a real tree for us, I'm thinking of buying a live one (as opposed to cut) and replanting it in a nice pot after Crimbo then leaving it on the decking for decoration next year, very MSE! :money:KimmyCustard :j0

i would love to do this :T
i would prefer a real tree but i have a crazy dog who would destroy it within an hour :rotfl:0 -
I love the smell from a pine xmas tree but I hate the needles (we also have a dog)! We did have one on one occasion but it wasnt the same to be honest. Our 7ft artificial one is gorgeous though, and I prefer the way it looks. It is definitely not tacky and it makes the living room feel ever so cosy. I love it. So artificial all the way for me! Will be the same should I get my own place, I am too lazy to be constantly getting rid of dropped needles! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

Hello we have a real christmas tree in a pot in the garden which we saved from last year its ok still so this year we shall bring it in again and decorate . think it depends if you don,t mind clearing up the needles .you can get now some fabulous looking artificial trees for me the disappointment would be if i was,nt putting any tree up at all i would nt feel like it was christmas with no decorations up.;)0

we had a real tree with roots so you could use it years and years When christmas was over you put it outside....so we did..
a few days later.... all the needles fell off and it was completely bald....it didnt recover and was still bald in the summer
I think we shocked it with the cold an all..so much for trying to save money... boo... hoo“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

I always used to have a real tree but they have got soooo expensive that I can't warrant spending the cash on one.
Funny thing is, once I have put the artificial one up and decorated it, it looks lovely.
I think it's something we think we ought to have.

We get a real tree from Peter Barratts. Never had needle drop yet. I love real trees, but i also like the fake trees with the snowy branches, and the lights already on.0
