feedback removal

I just had silly neg feedback.

Someone left me neg feedback saying "need address" after sending me 2 emails then checking out and then leaving neg feedback all within 20 mins. I wasn't even online.

Do you think ebay will remove this as they are new and it is silly feedback?

  • Just call them a F@ck or !!!!!! bag in there f/b and ebay will remove them both. You can do it in the follow up if you have all ready left them f/b.
It will take a good couple of weeks to remove.

They won't remove it. You'll just have to leave an added note to explain what happened.

why not? I filled in the feedback removal form as the feedback was not necessary.

  • Feedback removal has to be by mutual consent. In these situations, communication can often work wonders!

I read the help and it doesn't have to be mutual as mutual removal doesn't remove the comment. Only Ebay can do that.

Mutual Withdrawal removes the feedback rating and cancels its effect on your feedback score. The actual comments remain with a comment underneath saying:

"Rating Withdrawn: Buyer and seller mutually agreed to withdraw feedback for this item."

The chances of getting EBay to entirely remove the feedback are very slim unless the comments are defamatory or contain links.

LOL does this really work? It would be good to know for the future!!icon10.gif (Just in case!)

  • You might still have the comment, but at least if you mutually withdraw you won't have a neg denting your feedback score. The comment they left isn't exactly damning although it is annoying. It will eventually fall off the 1st page into abyss anyway. I would just leave a follow up comment explaining that the numpty is a clueless newbie. It is also plainly obvious thats its a typical newbie comment. I don't personally think that anyone will think any less of you as a seller. The chances of Ebay removing it is virtually nil as it isn't really offensive :\
